No idea where I had my first pint but would have been around 1984. Only ever drunk Bitter unless it's a heat wave. Find myself drinking more Guinness nowadays if the only thing available is a poncy flowery IPA. All I remember was that you could easily get 5 pints for a fiver. Those were the days..

1988 the Rose and Crown Maldon. Castelmaine 4X somewhere around 1.50 Recall all the old boys in the place bemoaning the fact that we would some day have to pay 2 pounds for a pint.

probably had a few glasses of Party 7 etc beforehand but first pint I can actually remember buying in a boozer was when 3 or 4 of us went out on our scooters and ended up at the Crown in Hadleigh... probably been a pint of Fosters I'd imagine (which believe it or not was BIG at the time)... cost?? Fuck knows...
