Harrods
"Mrs Throw and myself had a day out there today. Not what it was, full of arrogant, rude shouty Japs and Yanks barging everyone to have their photo taken with a fucking meat cabinet or a fishmonger stall. Food hool is decent though, lovely nosh but well overpriced but I guess it does cater for the foreigners and wealthy London cunts. £18.00 for a lobster roll - do fuck off. I treated Mrs Throw to a McDonalds at Liverpool Street instead. Had a coffee at some poncy cafe across the road from Harrods before jumping on the tube. £5.40 for a fucking latte. Pretended I didn't want one and got her one, fucked if I am paying nearly 11 quid for 2 coffees. Wankers"

"Worked opposite some years back. One day there was a terrible accident as a taxi ran over and killed a tourist. People at work were very upset but one wag remarked, ""For an American you couldnt get a more British death, being knocked through Harrods display window by a black cab"". Class."

"El Scorchio 2:17 Fri Jan 12 Re: Harrods Fauxstralian 12:14 Not even being funny but £2000 a week for the kid almost feels a bit tight when you think about all the rest! Think the kid was about 17 and lived at home .... Dad owned all the flats in a fancy mansion block (plus a lot more) and had all his expenses paid. £2,000 was just walking around money Can remember a guy I worked with made all the arrangements for a Xmas Caribbean trip for the whole family .... fanciest resort , private jet etc 2 days before SHEIKY decided he didnt really fancy going so walked away from a silly amount of cost"

"I went in there, mainly out of curiosity, about a decade ago, previous to that was when I was a kid. Stating the obvious no doubt, but on the last trip I couldn't believe how fucking big it is inside, it just goes on and on, I stumbled across the food area while wandering in this maze and it did look very nice, as you'd expect, but didn't dabble at those prices."

Re: Harrods
"Did a contract job years ago for a SHEIK looking after some parts of his empire His chef used to do the grocery shopping at Harrods so would have a float transferred into his account so he could order all the WAGYU steaks etc So much money going in that the bank flagged the chef up as a potential money launderer or drug dealer For SHEIK and his wife, girlfriends & teenage kids he had 5 drivers on a roster And the teenage son used to come into the office for his weekly pocket money every Friday .... £2,000 THESE are the sort of people that should be shopping at Harrods. Cant imagine he ever complained about the lobster roll price"
Re: Harrods
"My Brother-in-law is a director at Harrods. Some of the stories he tells me about how the Arabs come in and spend in the summer is insane. 2 years ago one of the Sheiks came in with a number of wives and spent something like £80m in one afternoon across jewellery, watches, home furnishings and clothes. It was their record day ever but regularly have days when the Uber Rich come in and spend tens of millions individually."
Re: Harrods
"Opposite Harrods is Freej Swaeleh which is the only Kuwati restaurant that I have seen in London (so far). I think this tells you all you need to know about the clientele that is catered for in Harrods and the immediate area. If you are looking for reasonable value, then this is not the place for you."

Re: Harrods
You went to one of the most expensive shops in one of the most expensive areas of one of the most expensive cities in the world And complained about the prices?
