Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
"Everton and Nottingham Forest have been charged by the Premier League for allegedly breaking financial rules. Both clubs have been referred to an independent commission for alleged breaches of profit and sustainability rules. Got no axe to grind against Forest. Everton though, another story. Bye bye blue noses"
Re: Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
So if Everton are deducted points for a separate year the points deduction will take place in a separate season? Next year then?

Everton could well be playing championship football when they open that brand new stadium in 2025/26. It won't be there fault of course

Re: Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
This is straight forward case of losses being over the permitted limit and nothing to do with City & Chelsea Briefly I understand their breaches are : City - have made up income by having associated MATES sponsor things with the funding provided through the back door by the oil cunts Chelsea - when the gangster was owner they made payments off the books rather than include them as Chelsea costs to fudge their figures As regards the losses and sustainability breaches by Everton & Forest these are a matter of fact where over a 3 year period they have lost > £105m. Everton were in breach over a 3 year period and when you add the current year its a new period where they have made NO ATTEMPT to repair the damage. 10 pts penalty for the first breach .... should be a further 20pts on top for the serial and unrepentant cheats. Forest? Just a basic 10 points though I understand they might argue some of the spending was before they were a Premier league club

Re: Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
"Going to get interesting now, this. Because, for Everton at least, this latest charge indicates they have been in breach of FFP for successive years. Their 10 point deduction relates to 2021-22 and this latest charge relates to 2022-23, when it is alleged they still couldn't balance their books. Leicester are already going bonkers behind the scenes, I hear, as they were relegated after pulling their purse strings tight (as required under the rules) when they hit financial problems. So they seem to want Everton boshed for regular breaches. Gut feeling is that this is all going to end with the threat of civil court action (as well as Premier League sanctions), like ours did with Sheffield United after Tevez. We settled up before it got to any court or tribunal, didn't we? It is getting mad now. I get why Everton are angry that the likes of Man City don't seem to have been punished while they have. But equally, the likes of Leicester and Palace really cut their costs when the financial pinch kicked in, unlike Everton. Leicester pretty much got relegated because they did that. Fuck 'em all. Is there a way we can work this so that we end up with another trophy..?"
Re: Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
"Glad to hear they are clamping down finally, however how have Chelsea and City gotten away with it so far? Or are they untouchable because of fear of them moving to a Super league if pressed?"
Re: Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
The Premier League are shit scared of the government sticking their oar with oversight and have to show that they have got their house in order. Man City lawyers will kick the can down the road for at least the next few seasons. So the suit’s are going for the low hanging fruit. Fortunately for us the Rice deal come at the right time.

"My mate reckons a few clubs will have to unload a couple of HOMEGROWN players to get within the FFP limits this summer. Which, hopefully, works out well for us seeing as most of ours aren't good enough and are 40 years old and are out of contract at the end of the season."
Re: Everton and Forest charged with financial breaches.
"cheeky bid for Calvert-Lewin? i'm torn on this one, i don't wanna see a PL club relegated because of this............ especially while City and Chelsea are still going unpunished (thus far). but then i hate everton and i hate scousers so the other part of me thinks 'fuck them'."
