"Not a bag gig, around £300 a day to turn up, have a lovely subsidised meal, gin and tonic, then go home and watch Countdown."
Re: The House of Lords
Almost time for Brady to take leave of absence from West Ham to appear on The Apprentice. She will probably demand a bonus from Sullivan to make up for the inconvenience involved. Anyone know when she last made a speech at Westminster? She is probably a mate of that Scottish slag Mone.

Re: The House of Lords
"The one thing I like about the HOL is it feels like a sanity check against the current day mob bowing to the whims of modern day trends and doing something ridiculous. That it's unelected is what it is...but I do like the principle of a sizeable group who have lived through the history of much change and decision making applying the benefit of experience and who don't give a fuck if the prevailing views of day and their proponents give two shits. At a time when politicians and the press are basically in cahoots over access as opposed to one holding the other to account, a secondary body that can act independently and isn't subject to the whims of day to day policy or electoral back and forth."

"Exactly mate. An affront to democracy. In our life time it’s the one thing you can do to right a wrong that has existed for hundreds of years , to get rid of this unelected house.,A throwback to the worst aspects of the class history we had. It’s the one policy that makes Labour worth voting for but would they really do it since half of them probably come from the same schools and would go into the paid retirement home that IS the HOL ."
