"Possibly, but he may think this is the very last chance to make it happen and knuckle down Seems to me he needs a father figure in his life"

Re: Ravel Morrison
"That investigation in full: RM:- He tried to disrespec ma blud, innit? Everyone know he's a wrong-un. Viva la rasa, etc. BFS: I tried to get him to change the agent who was ruining and continues to ruin his career. His record stands for itself. Plus, take a gander at the geezer's hamsteads. Mr Samuel Allardyce's Favourite Player Agent - Eh? No idea what any of you are talking about. Sullivan/the FA/ the Beak - Fucking hell! I could have stayed in bed instead of hearing this load of old bollocks. Case dismissed. BFS should be very, very worried... :"
Re: Ravel Morrison
"I think the general view/knowledge of what allardyce is like is highlighted perfectly by the fact that the second he got his dream Job, the media got together to take it away from him. I have no idea why a grown man already making millions would mess that chance up or screw over a messed up kid who was just getting his act together a bit just to make a few more pennies. He takes greed to another level"
Re: Ravel Morrison
"Allardyce is an arsehole but the only person to blame for Morrison not fulfilling his potential is Morrison. On the other hand though, Morrison has probably ‘earned’ around £20,000 a week over his entire ‘career’ for doing pretty much nothing, other than having the potential to do something. Nice work if you can get it."

Re: Ravel Morrison
"I just saw what he said about Sam. Should the club not investigate that allegation? Sam has lost one job (England) because of dodgy behaviour already. I feel like he defrauded the club of a huge asset in trying to destroy Morrisons career because he wouldn't sign with a particular agent (and I suppose collect a fee for himself). It should be illegal for a manager to influence a player as to what agent he chooses surely? And do people on here still have any respect left for Allardyce? Couldn't stand him as our manager btw, hated the football (rugby?) we played."

Re: Ravel Morrison
"Compare and Contrast with Josh Cullen. One a natural whose talent has been wasted due to mental issues. The other an average talent has applied himself mentally to all aspects of his fitness, his intellect and even his media presence. One lost his front teeth because he didn't look after them The other had his knocked out, handed it to the physio, had it put in milk and carried on playing. Ravel was a lost cause and will never overcome his demons and develop anything near the work ethic and discipline required to do well in modern football."

Re: Ravel Morrison
He’s 28. Maybe there’s a chance of him growing up soon enough for him to use his talent properly for a couple of seasons?

Re: Ravel Morrison
"I'd hazard a guess that access to a psychologist would have been available at pretty much every club (and there's been a lot of them) he's been at. In fact, his industry is probably does more than most other industries when it comes to metal health seeing how your career can be over in a second."
Re: Ravel Morrison
"LAF, Think there's much more in place now, however when he first broke onto the scene MH issues were still a taboo subject."
Re: Ravel Morrison
"I’ve heard his mental health issues have been the root cause of his demise. If so, you need to have some sympathy for anyone in his condition in such a shark infested competitive environment as elite football. You do wonder whether the industry does enough to support its employees who have complex and hidden issues or, as in Morrison’s case, whether he would have self-destructed whatever supportive mechanisms were at his disposal."
Re: Ravel Morrison
"360, you are half right. Players now days have to have something about them in terms of skill, along with the athletic side you mentioned. Back in the day, when those players you mentioned played it was more about being an athlete, which is why England as an national football team always struggled against more skilful teams."
Re: Ravel Morrison
"Morrison has had plenty of opportunities to maximise his potential but has not to date come anywhere near it. The one constant for many years is his agents and they must bear some responsibility for not helping their charge get the best out of himself. People must have wasted a lot of breath trying to persuade Morrison to work hard and apply himself, explaining how much of a lucrative career was ahead of him, but it has all been to no avail. Did one manager stall Morrison’s career, hold him back for ever more? Absolutely not."

Re: Ravel Morrison
"The game at the top is about being an athlete. I think 20/30 yrs ago it was just about being skillfull Gazza, George Best etc.. could do whatever because on the pitch they were unstoppable. Nowadays you have to have the discipline of a real athlete in terms of diet, training and attitude. Ronaldo is the ultimate example of talent and application. A good player turned himself into one of the best players of all time through work ethic and discipline. Talent won't make you make that 50yrd run in 89th minute at full speed. 6 months of training hard and eating well, lets you to do that."

Re: Ravel Morrison
"zeb I was using Joe as an extreme example, the opposite of Morrison. He could have won a few more caps, he could have been a bit less peripheral at Liverpool and Chelsea, but all in all, a very good career. Just not the Messi-like one we hoped. A thousand others are in the middle. Morrison has achieved literally nothing in the game."

Re: Ravel Morrison
This bloke used to nick football boots from his peers. I'd take anything he says with a pinch of salt.
Re: Ravel Morrison
"He seems to be quite reflective and admits he made too many mistakes. Some learn quicker than others that's just how it is. Obviously wasted his talen but still hope he can turn things around even at this late stage. He was 20/21 when he was with West Ham? Said that BFS offered him a contract, he wasn't even after one. But BFS said wanted Rav to sign ith his agent and no doubt earn him a nice little bonus - how dodgy is that? Rav sad no. Then on the day he was meant to sign, BFS said they aren't offering him a contract anymore and the next thing he's out on loan with QPR."
Re: Ravel Morrison
Only a complete fucking idiot would want this waster anywhere near the club again. He is the antithesis of what our squad is about now. Plus he's fucking overrated on here by the usual numpties. A shit player.

Re: Ravel Morrison
"zeb - and the best goal at a World Cup too. I don't think he could have done any more in terms of honours, it's more what he could have ben in terms of an individual player. We all want to see a Messi-style maverick, alowed to do whatever he likes, but Mourinho wanted a team player. That's fair enough, but less of a spectacle for the rest of us."
