Police apply for more funding for Madeleine McCann search

Post Queens Fish Bar »

"FFS! Surely enough is enough? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/02/12/police-apply-funding-madeleine-mccann-search/ Detectives investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have applied for more funding for the search. The Home Office confirmed that it is considering an application from the Metropolitan Police for more money to keep the probe, called Operation Grange, going. A spokeswoman said: ""The Home Office has provided funding to the Metropolitan Police for Operation Grange and the resources required are reviewed regularly with careful consideration given before any new funding is allocated."" Government funding for the investigation has been agreed every six months, with £154,000 being granted from October last year until the end of March. More than £11 million has been spent so far on the probe to find the missing girl, who vanished from the family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal in May 2007, aged three. Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry McCann, of Rothley, Leicestershire, have vowed never to give up hope of finding their daughter. In 2011 the Met Police launched its own investigation into what had happened to the toddler."

"Christian ""B"" has not been charged. He has just been given ""named suspect"" status, which is a requirement under Portuguese law. Because the case is 15 years old on 3rd May, the Portuguese had to name an official suspect by then or they would be unable to declare anybody a suspect. Kind of gets timed out. So it's a largely procedural thing at this point. I doubt that they've got any more evidence against CB than they had six months, or a year, ago. The German's are confident that they have the suspect in custody, based on a bar confession that he snatched her and his confirmed ahereabouts at the time. But whether he ever gets charged, let alone convicted, is another matter. Going to drag on, I'm afraid."

"He's not been charged, he's been made an ""official suspect"" and has been appointed a defense counsel. The rate this investigation is going, we are all going to die of old age before he's charged with anything."

All this money will go straight into their back pocket. Gerry and Kate should both be in prison for child neglect. If the police weren't so corrupt the truth would have come out by now same with the Corrie Mckeague case.
