Daily Quiz anyone?
"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
"ED wrote ""Easthammer, your sterling efforts are appreciated, I'm just a bit too fick in all honesty."" In my experience intelligence is difficult to define. And we all know stuff. I use to wonder and still do about a hierarchy knowledge. For example contestants on Mastermind might have ""specialist"" subjects such as ""the life and times of George Bernard Shaw"" and much less likely to be on there answering questions on ""Volvo Engine Parts 1960 - 2018"" Which is more valid? Which proves intelligence? (probably neither) Before you label yourself you might like to checkout ""Contrary Imaginations"" by Liam Hudson best little book that was written about the nature of IQ written in 1966 and still available today Anyway, anybody, that thinks anything I ask here is important or worthwhile is wrong it is just silly stuff for fun."

"4 ""easy"" plus some wild /informed guesses. Which sometimes work. But not sure they will today as answers are oft specific. Bring back the vaguely correct ""answers!"" :-)"

Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
ED I did say the questions might be tough for single players. If you get 4 or 5 in any round you are doing ok. Think we have had one round when people knocked it out of the park. Have look at today's questions you will definitely add to yor score.

"I got those 4 points from an early sports round, easthamner son. I reckon if I'd have carried on with every round since, I'd be on 4 points by now."

"They call themselves Uxonians, it seems. Still, easthammer knows best. So I got that wrong, and wrongly guessed Hartlepool. The rest, I didn't have a clue. 5"
