Daily Quiz anyone?
"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"How bizarre. I only know of Chris Barber because a few years back I asked mum, before she was ill, what she wanted for her birthday. Long story short I found out her first concert when she was 16 was The Chris Barber Band and incredibly he was playing in a town not too far from us so I got us tickets. Must say they were superb."

"The scores from yesterday so far (Better average 5.6 Bad luck Syd but well done on the 8) I remember the Beezer and Topper broadsheets coming out in the 1950's and queuing at Johnny's newsstand outside the Gaumont East Ham for the first editions with the free gifts ( A paper gun that went ""bang"" (snap) when you flicked your wrist! simple joys eh! can't imagine kids getting excited by the prospect of such gifts today :( Texas Iron

"4 Kicking myself over a few of these. Blimey Zico, glad I'd stopped reading ROTR by then. Sounds traumatic!"

"Thanks Rio you are correct, I got that wrong. When I wrote the question I looked to see who Dennis the Menace had replaced and assumed Biffo had been there from the start, It was indeed Big Eggo So not having a big Ego I apologise"

"8. Aaaarrgghhhh!!! I was musing on the marvellous and intricate nature of the human brain and the depth of its memory, even mine. I knew that 9 & 10 were familiar to me and apart from the stalwart Beano and Dandy remembered bigger “broadsheet” comics but could not remember their names. I had given up but then after a couple of hours “Topper” came crawling out of the dim recesses, so I put it down for both. It was then followed though half an hour later, almost without warning, by “Beezer” which spring forth seemingly out of nowhere. What a marvellous thing the mind is I thought, but then I put them the wrong fecking way round so missed out on my first perfect 10. Bollocks."

4 - I should have rang my sister as she got The Beano and I got ROTR and Eagle! My late dad had all the original Eagle copies from the 40's so we would have had two collections but he chucked them out! I was devastated when a bomb ripped through Melchester Rovers coach and killed most of the team. Never the same after that!
