Daily Quiz anyone?

Post easthammer »

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"Practical effects over cgi every. Single. Time. That's why the thing, the fly etc look great even now. And jurassic park having use of both makes it look better than the modern ones. Good gci used well can be effective but simply lacks the ""weight"" of real things Bad cgi is laughable. Star wars ep 2 attack of the clones looks like who framed Roger rabbit. Bruce the shark from finding nemo was named after the jaws animatronic.... and is one of my lookalikes. That got pointed out to me by kids in my first year of teaching 19 years ago and has stuck with me ever since."

"riosleftsock 11:36 Thu Jun 23 Sorry Rios trying to mix it up a bit to play to everyone's strengths as much as possible. Werewolf in London is a brilliant film, still can't watch the bit on the moors with the sound on!! Not sure if anyone knows this but John Landis was lucky to have a career. On July 23, 1982, during the filming of Twilight Zone, actor Vic Morrow and child extras Myca Dinh Le (age 7) and Renee Shin-Yi Chen (age 6) were killed in an accident involving an out-of-control helicopter. The three were caught under the aircraft when it crashed. Landis and four other crew members were charged with involuntary manslaughter."

"Yep should have said asbestos on it's own is fine. Well done mate great score, I didn't know how to make it easier for others but not easy for you! Getting Futureworld was impressive. Looking at what Harryhausen did was incredible when you think of it. Still think Argonauts and Clash of the Titans put some of the modern CGI to shame, even now!"
