Daily Quiz anyone?

Post easthammer »

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

7. Which is not bad considering I NEVER play computer games (not since Asteroids or Space Invaders in the pub back in the day) as they bore the life out of me.

5.5 which was much more than I expected since I have barely played computer games since 1980s. Apart for cards and candy crush. Did get hooked on Angry Birds but didn't get that question. I do have a ZX Spectrum in the loft with some original games Must be worth something by now:).

"The skiing was good - Was that alien game ""something strike""? Can't place it. When we had to sell mums house last year we got about 90 for all my old video games etc intellevision, and Commodore 64. Regretting selling them now! I remember a game on C64 called Quo Vadis. When you completed it you found some message and a phone number which you called to try and win a holiday., I finally completed it, called the number, only to hear the competition had closed about two years previously!"

half a point for any old PlayStation! I used to have one of those Intellevision consoles. God the football game was tedious as they made it a bit to real life by making you play the full 90 minutes!
