Daily Quiz anyone?
"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"Fascinating stuff East,. I am in fact honoured that you haven't corrected me on any of those answers! ;-) Just put Boleyn Castle into Google and see that you are right. Als though Hever Castle pops up in the search and eerily looks similar to the castle on the Hammers badge. Mind you most castles probably had some sort of similarity with each other."

Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
"11 Today thanks Zico. Perhaps should have scored more. Particularly as I have a long-standing family history associated with the ""Boleyn Castle"" or Green Street House of which as a kid I had a wooden replica in which I kept my lead soldiers. Green Street House was from 1915-1940 the home of Bolenium Overalls ( W A Smith & C0). My uncle was the Factory Manager for this company and both my parents worked for Bolenium after the War when it had moved to Dagenham (Chadwell Heath) Bolenium Overalls were often seen advertising in West Ham Utd match day programmes. If look up pictures of Boleyn Castle it will show the one then remaining Tower ( that was demolished in 1955) and behind it is the Victorian building that was Green Street House complete with false fortifications -That is the model I had. By the way I think I am right in saying that there is no real evidence that the ""castle"" ever had three (or even two) towers as depicted in the club's old badge"

"Sorry MD I am going to be a bit pedantic again, I just can't help it and my family tells me to stop but I fail every time despite knowing nobody likes a smart arse. Liz Truss is still PM and remains so until her replacement is appointed. So question 1 can't be answered just yet. But I guess you will settle for how long she was in office before she tendered her resignation."
