For all I know the man was a deranged far-right extremist but given the circumstances I would expect a proper journalist to at least investigate the possibility of other motives before immediately going with the Democrats framing on the eve of an election. Just going with the story most convenient to the ruling party seems more like activism than journalism. Hope he gets better soon though whatever the motive. Getting a hammer over the head isn’t great at any age. The police who watched it happen should have to answer to someone too.
