Civil War rhetoric Trump telling people to beat up protestors at rallies Armed ""observers"" in tactical gear showing up at ballot drop boxes ""hang Mike Pence"" Marjorie Taylor Greene calling democrats feral hogs then getting on board a helicopter and shooting a hog. And I'm sure there will be comebacks that both sides doing it - as we are seeing on here. But the GOP has embraced it. This is not and never has been a ""both sides"" issue. I'm not particularly leftie on traditional terms - but when the GOP embraces people like MTG and promises them committee spots then they can frankly go fuck themselves. The attempt to disown this kind of shit is pathetic though. Last I heard McCarthy has refused to say anything about the attack. Should it really be that hard for him to condemn this attack?"

I think it's much simpler than this. Paul Pelosi is drunk. Goes to bed without setting alarm. Crazy man arrives. Smashes door which would've woken a normal (sober) house owner. Intruder wanders about house & eventually wakes drunk Paul Pelosi. Exchange between the two was confused. Crazy guy lets drunk guy have access to phone. Pelosi's call to police will probably indicate he was drunk. Witness 1 has inaccurate timeline. No great conspiracy here. David DePape isn't a MAGA inspired domestic terrorist. Pelosi isn't involved in gay sex orgies when Nancy is away. This would't have escalated if Pelosi had remembered to turn on his alarm.
