I started going in the 90s so have never seen us win anything apart from promotion and the intertoto, if you can even count that. For me, Bowen's goal celebration was a release of all the pain, shit and missed chances we have gone through over all the years - losing in 2006 fa cup final, getting beat in semi finals again Birmingham and Frankfurt to name a few, getting knocked out in the cups against 'lesser' teams, relegations...all of it. It was pure ecstasy that we had finally done it and won a competition. No-one can take that memory away from us. I will be a very happy man if I get to see something like that at least one more time in my life."

If videos are put up showing our support after scoring any goal I am pleased and will sadly watch over & over. But somehow what happened the season before....the journey....the teams we beat on the way to the semi put this cup win in perspective for me.....so I've still got a lot of my pent up shit remaining.....that's good though no?.....as we want it to be as nutty as fuck in any cup win that comes along......and push it onwards and upwards....happy but by no means content....

"This is how I see it. Because we had won our first trophy in 40 odd years, we had to (and rightly felt)the need to celebrate a bit crazy. It was human nature. What was really good for us, was that we got to experience us winning something. However, I soon had the feeling/realisation (a week or so later) that it was only a 3rd rate competition and that this should only really be a stepping stone to greater things. Obviously, for those that went to most of the games they will feel more passionately about it. Great for them - they deserve it. In a weird kind of way, if we ever did win the Champions League, as fucking brilliant as that would be, I’d probably, eventually, feel almost a sense of “fuck the only way is down from here” although then of course, the challenge would be for us to try to keep winning it so we could rub it in all the ‘BIg Six’ cunts faces. There is no real glory in winning the Conference League - but it’s a great way hopefully, to set us on the way to bigger and better things. As I say, nothing to shove in the faces of all the ‘Big 6’ (I’ll be honest, a massive part of us winning something great, is so that I can do that)- but, never the less, a very nice experience we can all enjoy. I think where it will hopefully, also serve us well, is that we’ve shown we have bottle to win something when expected to. All good experience in our quest for world domination… How.We.Laughed. ;-)"
