"Suddenly Villa, who a year ago looked like a Conference team, are now world beaters littered with world class stars. You have to LOL Our squad has been put together for £466mil, it is good enough to be able to win games and entertain people. I cannot believe a squad containing some of the talent we've got is possibly more boring than anything Curbs or Allardyce served up. That really does take some doing."

"""I don't think anybody could say the team we started with wasn't a good team and wasn't a team capable of winning or performing. Many of them have been very good players for us over the years and still are."" Really Dave? Are you this much of a clueless cսnt?"

"Moyes has destroyed players in the past with his outdated way of playing. Players don't become bad overnight, look at the coaching methods, look at him playing players out of their natural positions, he puts square pegs in round holes and expects results. It has come off once or twice but 90% the time it hasn't. Take Fornals for example, he is simply not a left winger but has been put out there and has expected to get results, same with Ings, okay tonight he was well off it, but he has made a career out of playing up top in a front 2, he has been asked to run the channels, chase down defenses, feed off scraps, do the Antonio role, you couldnt get a complete different player to Antonio in Ings. He has his favourites and it seems like if you are out of the loop then you literally train day in day out, collect your paycheck and sit on the bench. There is no competition for places, the list goes on. Tonight was a mixture for me, a manager who knows no other way of playing and a team put together more in hope than anything else. Some of this players didn't want to be there tonight and it showed, is it not playing for Moyes, well put of form and fitness or genuinely don't give a fuck. My money is on put of form and fitness but also an element of not playing for Moyes."

"Eerie, I don’t know would be the honest answer. I certainly can’t base it off one game. Just because we haven’t heard of any Olympiakos players doesn’t mean they aren’t very good though. We have had a number of players over the years who we have signed from oversees that we had never heard of prior to their signings that did well for us."

"i'm sure moyes has a stack of photo-copied team sheets for the season with soucek's name already added to save time. he keeps them in a neat stack on his desk next to his stapler, hole punch, everton mug and signed alex ferguson photo"

"Takashi Miike, Despite what some say on here, John McGinn has always been a good player. He had previously won their player of the year, was made captain and scored a number of crucial goals under previous managers. There’s no doubt though that Emery has taken his game to another level. Time will obviously tell but I’m not convinced our squad is as good as people make out. We have Bowen & Paqueta who are mostly top class, a few unknown quantities in Kudus, Alvarez & Dinos where we don’t really know how good they are and then we have a lot of average players who wouldn’t get near the top 8 teams. There’s no doubt though that the manager is not doing some of them any favours. As I said previously it’s no excuse to play weakened sides in cup matches like this."

"Compare the gulf in class between the two teams tonight. Our team cost the best part of 400 million. Olympiacos were a team full of decent players but wouldn't exactly set the world alight in the Premier league. But they took the game to us, they showed us no respect, bullied and played through us, they weren't scared to take us on and fair play to them. Contrast that to how Moyes sets up against the likes of City, Liverpool etc, you could argue the gulf in classes are the same as us and the Greeks. But Moyes is too afraid to take the shackles off, too afraid to be adventurous and that is why in the 70 odd Premier league games away at the top 4 he has NEVER won, he throws games he knows he isn't good enough to win. He doesn't trust his players to go out and play. It's all rigid back to the walls kind of football that does get results granted but not at the price of 250 million quid over 2 transger windows."

The same team that started against Aston Villa will start against Everton with the exception of the suspended Emerson and we all know it as Moyes is so stubborn.
Re: ‚ö? Olympiakos FC v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Pedro. You're having a laugh. Soucek will start every fucking game possible under this predictable stubborn cսnt. We ALL know what the starting 11 is for Sunday barring injuries Nips, Coufal, zouma aguerd would he Emerson, but he's suspended. So kehrer or mavropanus out left Bowen jwp, soucek, alvarez and paqueta out left in his favoured position Antonio stinking up the joint up front That IS what moyes will play"

"swindon hammer 11:06 Thu Oct 26 How many of the Olympiakos players would get in our starting 11? On tonight's viewing, you'd say 11, but that's down to 1 man, and 1 man only. In reality, 2 at best, and that's being generous."

"swindon, you mention villa. I remember mcginn & douglas luiz under dean smith & gerrard and they were terrible. they're like new players I see emery, because they know what their role is and encouraged to play. our cսnt discourages players expressing themselves, wants all to stick a rigid plan and it will make most players look bad"

"“Some of those players have had less than 30 minutes worth of football over the past 6 weeks and he expects them to go out and get a result” Stevethehammer, I disagreed with him not starting our best players but all of those that started tonight have had starts and played more than 30 minutes in cup games over the past month. The problem is most of them aren’t good enough or past their best."

"I think it's time we all stopped blaming the players, myself included. We know Soucek's an atrocious footballer, we know Aguerd can't defend, we know Antonio is a carthorse, etc. They are all shit at the minute, because of 1 man. That's the long and short of it."

"Poor performance and as I said earlier you are asking for trouble resting your best players in a tough away game. We are never winning the league. We should take all 3 cup competitions seriously. Win the first 4 games in the group and then rest players. The manager has to be held accountable but I also think our players aren’t as good as some might think. We have wasted a lot of money which again goes down to the manager and the board. How many of our players would get into a top 8 premiership side as in Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle & even Aston Villa? Bowen & Paqueta maybe?"
Re: ‚ö? Olympiakos FC v West Ham - Official Match Thread
"Felt like too many changes for tonight. Did we underestimate them? Moyes normally gets the balance right for the europe games but this was poor. perhaps he has an eye on Sunday and then the Arsenal cup game which is more important than tonight. Fornals and Benrahma were very poor. I have felt Benrahma was a little unlucky not to be starting but tonight seems to show why. Soucek won‚Äôt start Sunday after playing the whole game so perhaps we will finally see kudus start with Bowen , Paqueta and Antonio. Only plus was ?Ålvarez who tried to push us forward."

"Two left feet Can I just ask why are you happy to give Moyes the next 2 games. Obviously he isn't going to be sacked and we are stuck with him until the end of the season at the bare minimum, but do you think he would have learned anything tonight. Is he suddenly going to think of a plan that will take Dyche by utter surprise, will he go 2 up top and give some one like Paqueta a free roam, will he play 3 at the back knowing Emerson is out. No doubt we can all see what will happen and it will be the same negativity it has been for the past 2 years or more. Dyche won't need to do any scouting etc, just rinse and repeat same old Moyes tactics. Its not moaning, it's not knicker wetting etc it's simply the hard truth, that he doesn't learn from mistakes, he can talk about change, new ideas all he wants to the media who lap him up, but those who actually watch West ham week in week out can see it. He talks a fucking good game does Moyes, just wish he would back it up come match day."

Spot on about defensive midfield Mike Downes may not be a world beater but he is a a CDM. I heard Downes and Cornet were not Moyes picks so he never tried to give them a chance and wanted Downes sold not loaned ? Better get young Pottsie back from Wycombe ? He’s getting rave reviews there
Re: ‚ö? Olympiakos FC v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Takashi Mike :We’re fucked in there even when Alvarez plays he’s no better than the other 3 all 3 are cart horses and that’s why we’re developing a soft spot in front of our centre backs which was evident against Villa and again tonight .

"the problem is he doesn't even know his own squad. he insists on playing this defensive set up yet there's now zero alternatives to alvarez because he couldn't get rid of downes quick enough. tonight showed neither jwp or potato salad can play there so we're basically fucked if and when alvarez gets injured or suspended. the players continue to look like eleven random people rather than team mates that have trained together and worked on things. there's no pattern of play, it's fucking horrendous yet you've still got the same clueless wankers backing him"
