Rugby World Cup

Post Swiss. »

Not a massive fan of this sport. Seems everyone forgets the rules when on the pitch and give away stupid penalties. One thing thoug I'm pretty sure it was meant to be played in 30C temperatures. Those big guys will be collapsing in this heat.

"It's ok everyone, I'm here. Most games between the big boys (NZ, SA, France, Ireland) are 50/50, and it generally comes down to who starts the best. When SA beat us up the other week, theu got all the momentum in the first 15-20 mins. We couldn't take a trick and gave away penalties, made mistakes and when Barrett was sent off just before halftime it was already game over. Likewise, when we whipped them back in July otnwas the opposite. The first 20 mins were some od the most sublime rugby we've played in recent times and again, it was all over by halftime. No idea who wins today, or overall. Should come from any of the 4 i mentioned but feel lile there could be some surprises. Wouldn't surprise me if Fiji and Samoa get through to the 1/4 finals and from there it only takes 3 wins."

"A very lop sided draw. I can see England coming good and making the semi-finals or finals. Ireland's are faced with being beaten up in the Group Stages by the Saffas and even have an improving Sottish team to get passed. and , IF, a Q/F against NZ or France awaits. Expecting the usual pain as the more likely outcome. Anyway a cracking opening game awaits and we will pretty much know the Group winners tonight."

New Zealand @ 3/1 ¬? France @ 3/1 ¬? South Africa @ 7/2 ¬? Ireland @ 9/2 ¬? Australia @ 12/1 ¬? England @ 16/1 ¬? Argentina @ 25/1 ... The All Blacks got absolutely trounced by the Boks last week. Might put a pony on them to win. i think France will do it though.

La families Holmes are on holiday in Paris and I can attest. It is roasting hot. Tolerable in morning. Too hot by 12.00. How anyone can do 80 minutes of anything in this is beyond me. Good.luck to them. Plenty of water breaks and M memories of Jack Charlton with Eire in 94

"I do wish that Jonah was still around, I mean Jonah Lomu not that massive helmet, Jonah Lomas. Lomu was an absolute freak of nature, not only was he massive with legs like oak trees but he could probably give Usain Bolt a run for his money. RIP Jonah Lomu It's going to be between SA and ABs isn't it?"
