Rugby World Cup
Rugby World Cup
Not a massive fan of this sport. Seems everyone forgets the rules when on the pitch and give away stupid penalties. One thing thoug I'm pretty sure it was meant to be played in 30C temperatures. Those big guys will be collapsing in this heat.
Re: Rugby World Cup
Relative of mine is flying home after attending the two quarter finals at the velodrome stadium. On Saturday all the English fans were strongly behind the Welsh supporters in wanting victory over the Argies ( Bluff Cove and all that ). Yesterday they recognised loads of Welsh fans from the previous day’s game donned in white Fiji national shirts and giving their voices against England.

Re: Rugby World Cup
So your comeback for this tournament is an excuse about an inbred sport you play and your dominance in a sport that is low down in the agenda of world sport….you’re effectively commonwealth champions in sport or in-house champions….well done….England will be proud of what happiness we’ve given you in the commonwealth sports.

Re: Rugby World Cup
And 12-0 in Rugby League World Cups Though I guess England could claim 0.75 of Great Britains 3 cups.

Re: Rugby World Cup
Just a very average team at the moment with the whole sport having its lunch eaten by AFL AFL draft next month so every talented 17yo over 6' 2 with ball skills will be HOOVERED leaving rugby with public school boys and excess South Sea Islanders Still lead England by 2 World Cups to 1 though

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Another excellent game Lots of ifs, buts & maybes when its one point but thought France just made more unforced errors Find a lot of rugby boring when the point is to kick the ball out of play. And still say the attempts to kick the ball from hands to the winger on the other side lack quality. The first team that engages an AFL player to teach them to ping a 50yd drop punt onto the chest of a moving winger will clean up. Like Southgates England sometimes the draw just falls in your favour. Rugby England have beaten Argentina, Japan, Samoa, Chile & Fiji S Africa and then NZ would obviously be several levels up."

"happygilmore, you sound a bit bitter there lad. It must be gutting knowing you were favourites for a sporting competition (other than Irish Dancing) for the 1st time ever and failed. Never mind. You can at least support Ireland in the football in the Euro’s next summer…..Oh wait! South Africa will be quite rightly big favourites to beat England but they won’t take it for granted and rest players you can be sure to be sure about that."

"Two great late games this weekend. Expect SA to beat the ABs and retain the WC. Hard side of the draw, but now both have a chance to play their B teams in the semi finals and rest players for the final."

Think England could be on the end of a right hammering next week whoever they have to play. The play from these two is miles ahead of anything England dish up.
