Rugby World Cup
Rugby World Cup
Not a massive fan of this sport. Seems everyone forgets the rules when on the pitch and give away stupid penalties. One thing thoug I'm pretty sure it was meant to be played in 30C temperatures. Those big guys will be collapsing in this heat.

Re: Rugby World Cup
I didn't bring Vaughan into this Eerie. I actually couldn't give 2 shits about Michael Vaughan or whether he said something a decade ago. Have no idea about the other bloke at all.

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Vaughan got suspended from his job, had his name tarnished across the world, had to go through a couple of years of hell, and had to go through a painstaking court case to clear his name and be allowed to work, for the crime of ALLEGEDLY saying 'You lot' over a decade earlier. Hardly the fucking same is it Lomas, you plank. And how about the Czech Republic player Ondrej Kudela, who got a 10 game ban for an ALLEGED racist comment in a game? What is the difference there? Well, we know what the difference is, but how do you explain that away?"

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Errrm, no I mentioned imagining because Trundle asked me to imagine a scenario where there was an audio recording of a white guy saying something racist to a black guy. I have no idea whether he said anything or not. My favourite rugby ""cսnt"" is this one https://www.instagram.com/reel/CWOMgGwKEs4/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng== Yes Dane, he is."
Re: Rugby World Cup
"He was accused of racism but there was no audio recording of Vaughan saying it, just like what you were saying there was no recording of the Saffa using racism to Curry, and intimating that he imagined it"

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Having had a quick read it appears that Vaughan was found not guilty of the racism charge DESPITE 3 of the 4 ""you lot"" saying they remember him saying it. So, I'm not entirely sure what point you're trying to make Cough."

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Just like you TM, i have no idea what was said, except that Curry asked what he should do if he was called a white cսnt. Being true to form, you see conspiracy around every corner. Must be hard living like that."
Re: Rugby World Cup
"Jonah, ""you lot"" You have to imagine it, because there isn't an audio recording of it happening."

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Apparently the same player called him a white cսnt in a match in 2022. Now just imagine if it had been the other way round? Curry would have been banned, sacked and lost his livelihood. Strange world we live in."

"insufficient evidence, so basically calling curry a liar. isn't that dozy cսnt beaumont in charge of world rugby? he of course won't want to stop the champagne dinners, and schmoozing with the elites so no shock he does nothing"

"It's gone exactly how I predicted it would go, Jonah. Imagine if there was an audio recording of a white man saying something racist on the field, and a black man alleges it was a racist slur against him. What do you think is going happen in that instance?"

"Brushed under the carpet, they had to good grace to state there was nothing malicious in Curry raising it. Meaning it happened, but they don't want to touch racism going that way."

Imagine my total shock in learning that no charges will be made against Bongi Mbonambi. Apparently there's insufficient evidence to prosecute him. It only works one way.

"In the France SA game the teams shared six tries in the first half. England were clearly not going into their semi against SA with the same, almost cavalier, approach as the French because they knew they would lose out heavily. Instead they played a pragmatic kicking game and it almost payed off except the Boks played much the same way and lasted out the eighty minutes more effectively. Best team on the day won."

Johnny Sexton has played 229 club games since his debut in 17 years of rugby Owen Farrell has played 237 club games in 12 years of Rugby. Paul O'Connell played 178 games in a 14 year career. Courtney Lawes has played 261 games in a 14 year career. That is the main issue of English Rugby.

Re: Rugby World Cup
"Scrum, kick from the base, knock on, scrum. Scrum, kick from the base, knock on, scrum. Kick for touch, lineout, drive, kick. Ruck, kick from the base, knock on, scrum. Scrum, penalty, 3 points. Kick, kick, kick, kick Scrum, scrum, scrum Drop goal, penalty, penalty, try, penalty I think that's a reasonable summary of both sides efforts in the second semi. Sure it was raining, but kicking away 93% of possession and making no line breaks is awful rugby. Effective, pragmatic, and almost successful, but it didn't make for great viewing. I'm glad they didnt have to play any extra time."
