XL Bully's to be banned.
Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"One of the xl bully's problems is they are currently the dog of choice for the small penised chav who have no reason to own them other than to ""look 'ard"". A shame really as they can be great dogs if raised properly and for the right reasons."
Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"Was listening to the radio yesterday and they were saying that the the XL Bully is the result of a lot of in breeding which has causes a lot of behavioral issues, they were also saying that the lineage of 60% of Bullys in the UK can be traced directly back to one dog in the US which was bread as a fighting dog so they have aggressive tendencies hardwired in their DNA. Long and short of it was that 99% of dogs can be trained and socialised but 1%, which includes XL bully's have the potential to attack no matter how much effort/training/socialising you do with them"

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"I've not been really interested in this breed until the recent news, and the news that they are going to be banned so on Saturday after the game I was walking in Hackney with my brother when we saw one in the courtyard of a fenced and locked little estate. I called to it and it wagged his tail, started coming towards me (it couldn't get me because of the fence) when a black kid shot out of the house waving his arms and saying 'no, no'. I said 'sorry mate, I am just a dog lover and these things have been in the news a lot lately so I wanted a look. They're not going to take him off of you are they?' 'No, I think they will castrate and chip him and maybe a spray(?) but we should be alright'.By now the dog was sniffing through the fence at another tiny dog on a lead and they were both wagging their tails. I said 'that's one magnificent dog you've got there and he seems to get on with other little dogs' and he smiled and said 'that's probably because he thinks he is a little dog, he's as soft as anything and I really don't mind him being around my little girl'. He seemed a really nice kid with a well raised dog which was just as well because the fucker was the size of a well fed pig with enormous muscularity. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to fight something that big off and I could certainly see why one raised badly would be a menace to the public."

"Since there's now a few more people on the thread who know dogs.... Genuine question wouldn't muzzle laws work? Seems a simple fix, would think this should at least be tried before banning anything"

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
Walk past a bloke regularly that has two of these when I'm walking mine. If he is coming up to another dog he wraps the dogs leads round his arm multiple times. He always walks down the bottom of the sea wall so he can wrap his free arm round one of to the metal ladders the sea wall has. Then he holds on for dear life whilst one of the two always goes ape shit trying to get to the dog walking by. Only a matter of time until the owner loses his grip. really not safe. I don't buy this 'its the owner not the dog'. No one says this about small terriers that can be feisty fuckers alot of the time. I would say these dogs show more aggression than many others including the XL bullies. The owner does not get the blame then. They are just smaller dogs so much less intimidating. No denying the power these xl bullys have and that is the problem. Even the strongest of blokes would struggle if one of them got hold of you and wanted to do some serious damage.

"Yep, as if the actual event itself wasn’t shocking enough, but to film it and do nothing and then to have such little self awareness as to share it. Even though I would have done my best to kill them dogs, because that was definitely the only way they were stopping, it would have massively bothered me. Would have far less bother doing the same with the filmer."

"GBHammer63 8:39 Mon Sep 18 Shocking, isn't it. All connected up with all that technology and and totally not present enough to respond to events here and now. If you want a killing machine as a pet you need the proper training. Same goes for a phone with a computer powerful enough to handle a Moon landing."

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
Certain breeds are born aggressive and with a genetic inclination to fight. Its what is bred into them hence why a labrador won't resort to biting chunks out of someone but my cane corso would have. They are trained to control it but it's there..that's why you have guard dogs and security dogs..one for their brain but 2 for their instinct in a dangerous situation. Explaining to a dog which is a dangerous situation is the bit that is tricky if the dog isn't mentally stable and this breed is a mix of unstabke dogs so in my humble opinion can't be trusted on a general scale.

"Most of the films I see on TV the owners look like chavs with baseball caps. There can be no excuse for owning an animal like that. They should all be put down, and the dogs should be put down too."

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"FH 1.34 As a dog lover and previous owner Also got sent the video, honestly could only watch a few seconds and wish I hadn‚Äôt. What struck me was what sort of a new level no mark cսnt stands there filming it on his phone rather than grab a knife or shovel and try to help the poor fucker on the floor irrespective of whether you know him, the poor cսnt was bang in bother. Anybody saying that these are pets hasn‚Äôt had to see that film, they‚Äôre fucking big wild animals and no argument. It really got to me, I know that I‚Äôd be trying to cut the fucking things in half and I know I‚Äôd be in bits after probably physically as well as mentally. Can understand being frightened, and I absolutely would have been, but I couldn‚Äôt have done nothing. Even worse than nothing is filming it. That could have been any of us or our kids being mauled and some worthless prick thinks it‚Äôs ok to film it, for what reason? Sorry for venting but it‚Äôs got to me."
Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"""Dogs aren't born aggressive"" Some most definitely are and are bred for agression. Remember these are all descended from wolves and it is possible to inbreed the wild traits back in. Bulldogs were to bred to keep cattle in check so are on the edge. Then you get breeds like the English Bulldog who are a very sad case of inbreeding. The poor mutts have the shortest life expextation of all breeds just so people can have dogs that look cute and loveable. Also King Charles spaniels whose skulls are too small for their brains and Alsations with buggered hips just because the Kennel Club demands they have short back legs. In comparison all cats have a skeletal layout that is pretty much identical to the African Wildcats they are mostly descended from."

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"It's true that it's the owner not the breed, but certain breeds attract certain types of owners. In the hands of these weasles, these breeds turn into killing machines who can't be stopped by most people. Seeing as you can't say, these dogs are legal except in the care of cunts, you have to make them illegal for everyone, because it's like having a panther on the scene."

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"Woman on LBC this morning had an XL bully from a puppy She had other dogs, lived in the country with plenty of land Dog was perfect as it got older, no issues whatsoever. Then 1 day, bang, ripped to shreds one of her other dogs So this bollocks about how they are brought up is just that, bollox, its inherent in their character / DNA, to fight They were bred to do that in the States when they were introduced first. In society there is no place for domestic animals like this"

"I was in Newport Wales last week and went to a very local pub. As we left there was a bloke who had one of these and it was standing on a picnic table. As I passed he jad to restrain it from jumping at me at almost head hight. “ dont worry about him, he’s lovely”"

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"""buy a Cane Corso or other aggressive dog"" Cane Corso aren't an aggressive dog. The trouble with XL Bullies, drug dealers used the breeding plan to launder money, they were sold everywhere quickly to mainly thick, low life cunts. Dogs aren't born aggressive. Bring back dog licences, make sure all dogs are chipped, all have to attend puppy classes linked to chip and licence, if not they get destroyed."

"Depends why you bought them, FH If you bought them to look hard, then 100% you're a cսnt. And almost certainly a pikey cսnt at that. If you bought them because you like them and because they're lovely dogs, crack on Sadly, there's a massive number of people who fit the first description"

"The latest attack was close to where I live. I’ve just seen the footage of the two dogs attacking this bloke. (I wish I hadn’t ) Three of his “mates” have done f all to help him, poor man dead. Shocking way to go. I have owned two staffies previously, lovely dogs. Don’t know what that says about me."

If you own one of these types of dogs… including staffs etc there is an above 99% chance you’re a scum bag.
