seems to be at least one vicious attack a week by these beasts now. RIP to the poor sod (54) that had his throat ripped out and died yesterday in Sunderland. What a fucking way to go... This is gonna take years to sort out and there will sadly be many more human victim's along the way. What is the best legal way to protect yourself and/or your dog from the things? I reckon a flat head mid length screwdriver is about all you could get away with.. Some 30's something bloke (scrawny twat) round my way has two of the things and each must weigh more than him. Both have their ears cut and look like death on legs.. Its just a matter of time before they do some damage..

Burnhammeronsea That's a good start. You'd still get entitled owners crying about it though. It also wouldn't solve the problem of the ones that have escaped their homes which seem like the ones more likely to be aggressive.

For example, if it's wearing a collar, keep pulling on it at the nape of the neck. And if the dog is not wearing a collar? God knows. You could try improvising a 'band' to place round its neck and pull (maybe use your trousers belt) but in the heat of the moment, with an agile and ferocious dog, I don't know how practical that idea would be. Also, I reckon even a strong and fit man would struggle to pull on a collar/improvised band hard enough to choke one of those powerful brutes. "Saw a video on Facebook of some poor sod wrestling in a council housing front garden with Bully XL. Bloke had his trousers torn off and half his shirt, blood everywhere and the dog had started ripping his torso apart. You could see a couple of people whacking the dog with a broomstick but no good, the bloke looked exhausted and you could hear some bloke phoning the police with little urgency or grasp of the seriousness. Not sure if he died but from the look of it he would’ve done unless someone could run into a house and arm two people with kitchen knives to fatally stab it. I once fucked up my ankle and lower shin kicking a staffy multiple times to get it to release another smaller dogs heads from its jaws. That was bad enough and everyone else just stood frozen screaming and crying, even the idiot with their staffy on the lead. No idea how you’d even control an out of control bully."
