Cricket World Cup
"Starts on 5 October. Hopefully England can successfully defend the trophy, but it will be tough in Indian conditions. If England fall short, anyone but India or Australia please. I do fear India will 'find a way' to win their home World Cup though, given it's in their backyard and they effectively control the ICC these days."

Not in this cricket COMMONWEALTH Cup you haven’t Svender….only because you’ve done slightly better than England….but given the opportunity you’ll gloat for Australia as an Englishman…..

Re: Cricket World Cup
Gloat? Not sure I have gloated at all. Maybe you are hearing voices. S Africa grinding towards victory. Pakistan need Markram out as not sure the rest have 50 odd runs in them.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Svender what's amusing is this is your THIRD username now......if the COMMONWEALTH is amusing to you then that's you not wanting to face the fact only COMMONWEALTH countries win these cups whatever the format and they have the front to call it a WORLD CUP....better still the reason it is a COMMONWEALTH game is because Australias past masters introduced the nation to it.....even funnier......that nation is not your nation to gloat about.....because you are English.

Re: Cricket World Cup
Think they got chucked out but weaselled back in Your obsession with the Commonwealth is amusing ... seems to have replaced the previous one where you had with the plight of Aboriginals. The Voice referendum result and the retirement of Lance Franklin must have devastated you Pakistan in need of another couple from the legspinner after a tight lbw

Re: Cricket World Cup
India at home with their depth of talent and control of the surfaces are overwhelming favourites. That said the REPUBLIC of South Africa have the talent to beat them on their day. Unfortunately their day doesnt seem to be in crucial knockouts Perennial bridesmaids NZ will always be in the mix ... until it really matters Hoping SA win today and keep Pakistan down in the race for 4th

Re: Cricket World Cup
First step might be to stop disrespecting English coaches and find a suitable candidate who is truly passionate about England winning. Was coach of the Australian women ever appropriate? Team has looked flat and defeated throughout. A bit like a regression to 2015. Couldnt even be bothered to get worked up when Rashid got BAIRSTOWED. Buttler is a great white ball batsman but like Root appears a passive timid captain. Not someone to rally a struggling team

Re: Cricket World Cup
Total refresh needed - a couple of years of pain as there’s a lot of top order talent but limited late order hitting around at the moment. Salt Smeed Crawley (c) Hain Brook Jacks Buttler (wk) - dropped from captaincy and to just hit the fucker from 7 Ahmed Archer - will be white ball only going forward Atkinson Topley
Re: Cricket World Cup
I reckon we could find eleven players on here that could do better than that load of old shite?

"Thought to myself ""it can't be that bad, can it?"" so turned on to watch it just in time for that run out."
Re: Cricket World Cup
"Can't even remember them bowling a really good ball that deserved a wicket, usual shit of just giving wickets away ala the ashes. Losing to this pony Lankan side and the Afghans has to make this the worst ever world cup. Useless cunts."

Re: Cricket World Cup
The England team has been nothing short of embarrassing in this tournament. Hard to believe how bad they have been. Mott and Buttler both need to resign or be fired after we are officially knocked out in the first stage. Allowing Stokes to just waltz back in after retiring from ODis last summer was also a joke and has proven to have backfired big time.

Re: Cricket World Cup
It's hard to believe just how badly they are managing to do. Probably in genuine danger of being bottom of the group at the end of it? We've still got India and Australia to play don't we?

"Not a single player in that team under 30, time to start again and put this one down to an ageing side living on past glories."
