fraser You are full of shit mate. Here's the real stats from WhoScored.com... 22 - Appearances 77.2% - Pass completion 5 - goals 2 - assists 1.7 - shots per game 3.6 - Aerials won 2 - MOM 7.15 - Average rating Soucek isn't one of our better players I agree but you really shouldn't be talking about football mate...
Re: ‚ö? Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
"I just saw this comment on a FB post about Downes good stats, did make me laugh. It’s ok we have Soucek: 10 Appearances 9.5% pass accuracy No long balls attempted 0 Assists 3 Goals my Nan could score 60 potato salads eaten 437005 km’s run 5.4 times tripped over ball per game Stuck in error mode for 90 mins"
Re: ‚ö? Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
"No worries Fonz Maybe Soucek although incredibly slow does provide a physical presence but imo I just see him easily bypassed he can’t get near the ball. The defensive headers and blocks I do see and one or two can be crucial but not every game. So that aside he’s largely anonymous and his stats of under 10 competed passes and sometimes touches of the ball in many games just points to him being more of a passenger in most games and especially when the opposition dominate possession which is often in the league. But we shall soon see on Saturday if he contributes anything as we look like we will be relying on him and JWP ( also not a no 6 type defensive midfielder ) to keep a better passing side than us, Brentford, at bay. Moyes will unzip at the thought of having no choice but “park the bus” deep in our own half with the double handbrake on :-) If they score first we lose. We need to be clinical because I dont see us creating much and relying on the individual brilliance of a Kudus or Bowen. Hope to be proven completely wrong and will take my subsequent “caning” gladly"

"If Fornals is plodding around the pitch contributing next to fuck all then we ain't winning this, thankfully he won't be. Slightly amusing in the presser when Moyes was reminded that we have lost our last four league games to this lot, he hit back with ''well you obviously haven't done your homework then as all then four games were after tough European games'', what a fucking loser. He even reeled off the four sides, no way he would have known this off the top of his head, so he must have looked it up incase it came up. Talk about a small time mentality, so that makes it OK then according to him? Hard to believe he was manager of arguably the biggest football club in the world when you hear him wheel out shit like that, also makes you think if we lose this he'll point to the midweek game as the reason."

"Sorry to confuse you Huggie my fellow WHOer. I will try to be more precise. I politely disagree with Vexed on his assessment of Fornals. And whilst I am disagreeing with people, on Soucek I repeat what I said earlier."

Against Everton it was all about who scored first. If Bowen had put away one of his chances we’d have gone on to win easily but we have no other way to win.
Re: ‚ö? Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Sir Alf I had missed your post, apologies. I can't say I completely disagree with what you say. I share your frustration when moves break down when he gets the ball. However, I felt we missed his presence on the pitch against a very physical Everton team. Whilst not pretty on the eye he does cover a lot distance, makes crucial blocks, wins headers all over the pitch and sometimes can pop up with a goal. He gives us a different option in terms of how we can attack as we can aim for him and try and pick up the second ball. Now that's not the way I would like us to play, but what we were trying against a well drilled Everton team just was not working after the first 5-10 minutes. Obviously this is all with hindsight, and I will be honest, I wasn't disappointed when I saw he wasn't in the line up before the game as on paper it was a good side! However, I did think we lacked something when he was not on the pitch."

"I politely disagree with Vexed And whilst I at it, I’ll say Soucek is one of our best players to block attacks and help defend corners and that stuff, which we’ll need without Alvarez. Didn’t Moyes bring Rice in from CB as a DM, or was it Bilic?"
Re: ‚ö? Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
"I agree that Kehrer would be a good shout at DM. Much more mobile than Soucek and can pick a better pass. Mind you it's probably a step too far for Moyes. He's got no problem playing wingers as strikers, but a defender as a defensive midfielder, God forbid."

Surprisingly we can still field a decent team with out Paqueta and Alvarez Areola Coufal Mavropanos Aguerd Emerson Soucek Ward-Pierce Bowen Kudus Fornals Antonio Great result and unexpected result against Arsenal. Same again please.

It'll be interesting to see if the rumoured Heitinga / Steidten influence over the team selection for the Arsenal game will still be in place against this lot.
Re: ‚ö? Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Agreed that Mavropanos deserves to start after playing well against Arsenal. l also think as someone mentioned Kherer might be worth a go as replacement for Alvarez, he is quick and mobile enough. May be this is the season to banish the bogey team blues ie Beating Brighton after 12 years and even the Gooners after 5 plus years. COYI"

"No niether have you. So I'll go on what I know, and I think he's a prick cause he's telling West Ham fans how we should feel and think when it's not him that goes and watches us every week, he has no fucking right to judge us"
