"Eerie, I don’t disagree with some of your points. We were fucking shit against Villa, Olympiacos & Everton while yesterday we were a bit better but defensively really bad. The manager deserves most of the criticism for those although some of the players shouldn’t be excused either after some really basic mistakes. I still think you over emphasise on spending big money too much. We spent big during one season (much of it wasted) other than that it’s been fairly moderate in premiership terms. We made money this summer. Man Utd & Chelsea with better manager’s than us have shown it doesn’t guarantee results by spending huge amounts. Personally I think it would nice to see a new manager come in and freshen things up but the reality is unless we drop in the bottom 5 before Christmas there is almost no chance of Moyes getting sacked before the end of his contract so it’s pointless hoping for it. Just out of curiosity though when you say we should be in the mix to win things where would you expect this group of players to finish in the Premier League and how far should we going in the cup competitions to be “in the mix”?"

"Fabianski has always been the better keeper for communication and coming off his line for crosses. Areola has never done it, he relies on his amazing reflexes. All Brentfords goals were avoidable with a keeper commanding his area. Who would have thought lobbing balls in the box would be our Achilles heel."

"This is a case-in-point example of a disjointed lopsided arse about face squad that relies on moments of indvidual brilliance to fashion up a few results, managed by a train-wreck Facts :- We cant defend ( average 2+ goals conceded this season with a ""new gk"" and every combination of Cb) We cant hold onto leads We cant come back /respond We cant play the game that we see in front us us Brentford played that short/long corner/thrownin from the right all first half, its where their best player Mbweno is, and they nearly scored three or more times. So what did we do? Ignored it and let them do it again and again second half until they scored their winning goal Our response, hit and hope Words fail me. Get him out of this club. Today . cheers"

Eerie Descent 10:20 Sun Nov 5 I agree with all that you said but the difference is that Moyes has been successful in getting us two seasons in top7 and won our first trophy in 43 years was it? Last season's PL form could have been a blip and there were signs early doors that Moyes was getting results or running close to the top sides. Bringing in Tim Steidten gave Moyes a boost with the addition of 4 signings that improve the first team. Only one was a Moyes choice and contributed massively to the early wins. some of us gave Moyes credit for that as it seemed unlikely that the board would sack him while he was improving results. Moyes has now run into a brick wall. I don't think he has entirely lost the dressing room but he can't be far away from doing that. If the board don't allow Steidten to bring in a replacement just to save half a year's compensation then we are well and truly fucked with yet another mediocre season looking like it's on the way. Hopefully the board see this too and the loss of European football will reduce revenues and the club's value as well as the appeal of the club to future signings...

"Marty boy Why has Areola stop coming of his line to command the area , he did it well why he first broke into the first team and also in the conference cup , so who told him to stay on his line like Fabianski. Moyes of course."

"Had to check it to believe it Since Brentford came to the Premier league we have played them 5 times and lost the lot. Scored 3 and conceded 11 I have a lot of respect for Brentford ... well run club , very professional and a very good manager. But given the disparity in resources that is an appalling record. Similar to what our record was against Brighton before the victory this season. As mentioned given the money spent the record of 25 defeats in 49 League games is catastrophic and would have seen the manager sacked at least a year ago at a serious football club. That it is being allowed without any kick back from the owners tells you all you need to know about how SHIT they are."

"People going on about 1 missed chance, like it's a season defining moment. We've been shit for a long, long time. We have a squad littered with top quality attacking talent, and he sets us up to defend. People also going on about us missing 3 first teamers, Brentford currently have 7 players unavailable, including probably their best ever player. Imagine if Brentford were lucky enough to have Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen, Alvarez in their squad? Or if they could spend £100mil on 3 centre backs? The manager is a fucking charlatan. Pillocks are thankful to him because 'we have always been shit'. Well, at what other time in our history has a manager been given the sort of money this clown has? We should be in the mix to win things AND play football that doesn't make you want to dig your eyes out with a rusty fork."

I thought we played well in the first half and really should have put the game to bed whilst we were on top. I think we all knew that missing that golden opportunity to go 3-1 up before the break would come back to bite us on the ass. No-where near it in the second half. Awful again. A massive wind up that we conceded from 3 shit avoidable goals. Similar goals that we let in last season (long throw). And that we bought on Danny Ings. We offered nothing as soon as Antonio went off for that waste of space. Aguerd - every mistake he makes costs us a goal. How simple was it to not concede a fucking corner. Very frustrating.

"ED - Haha, good try son, I genuinely have no idea what you are going on about, I've never been pro Moyes, just always posted subjectively, so no idea why you are picking me out, bit weird tbf. Apart from some maybe getting carried away with the wins earlier in the season, virtually this whole site has wanted Moyes out for the last two years, you are no different, you just shout louder. Still makes me laugh that you slate Aguerd and then say you want him at left back. Reality is if we hadn't missed the open goal yesterday we would have won and we would be sitting okay. Now stop taking yourself and this site so seriously."

"RM10 9:59 Sun Nov 5 The post of a simpleton. Moyes had Areola on loan before sanctioning the signing, on absolutely monster wages. Formals has been shit for 2 years, as I pointed out and took loads of stick for, he should've been shipped out and replaced by Moyes. Antonio is 100% down to Moyes, he's had over £100mil worth of strikers he doesn't know what to do with. 1 of the 2 key midfielders can be a world beater in central midfield, he's mostly played him on the wing this season. Aguerd, Moyes had been tracking him personally for 2 years, he is another appalling signing, and at least I can no longer be accused of having some sort of personal agenda against, I called that absolutely bang on as well. The manager is a fraud, living off winning a made up competition that's only just been created in the last 2 years, that anyone could've managed. Most of the shit that's going on, myself and a few on here have been calling for over a year now. Most others are waking up, but pillocks like you keep finding excuses for the manger. It's all his fault, simple as that."

"Areola has been poor for a few weeks now. Anything in the 6 yard box has to be his!! He just sit on his line. And it looks like the defenders don't have any faith in him coming out to help them. And the ref was shit again!!! I hate Brentford with their shit time wasting, 4 minutes after they make 5 subs, and waste time for most of the game!!"

"He is a good shot stopper but makes bad simple decisions. That with Fornals Ings Bennie in poor form and Antonio at the end of his career, losing two key midfielders was part of the problem, had the two clowns put the third goal in it might have been different."

Looks it be a communication issue with Areola and the defence. Ogbonna own goal the other week Soucek heading the ball yesterday Aguerd going for the ball when it was running out of play. Areola should be claiming these

Oxsaw - But you have been proved wrong. You don't spend close to half a bil just to finish 17th. Interesting take labelling the faithful ''mugs'' too. How about YOU putting up evidence to back up YOUR theory that Sullivan is content finishing 17th every season? and you're going to need better than just not sacking Moyes.

"I've said this before and I'll keep saying it until I'm proved wrong. The only thing Sullivan cares about is retaining PL status - 17th place is a good season in his mindset; everything else is a one-off bonus. ""Next level"" is just words from him to keep the paying mug-punters paying every year."

Vexed @ 10.34 too ?üëç I think there are many of our mindset but do owners really care given the stadium is sold out. I guess we‚Äôll find out soon if mid table is acceptable by sticking with this absolute neanderthal. And that‚Äôs assuming we attain that - anymore of this dross we‚Äôll be fighting the drop like last year. That Arsenal win papered over the cracks because I remain convinced they really didn‚Äôt give a monkeys arse about the Carabao Cup.
