Admin assistance required please
"A well known regular WHOer messaged me yesterday to ask if WHO had finally ceased to exist cos he's been unable to connect to it, and only got ""oops, we are unable to find that site"" etc. I told him it was working for me. This morning he sent me this: Tried connecting via Firefox & Edge on PC and Safari on IPad and continue to get a message stating the server can’t be found. Can you ask Admin if they have any ideas please? He's been around long enough to know to try wiping his knob on the screen, so I assume he's already done that."

"Ok my theory of it being different browsers was wrong. Basically every match day it says server down, I presume due to many logging in."

Re: Admin assistance required please
Site is positively zipping along now. Posting this during the game and it's all working really fast. Well done Wills!

"Wils, thanks mate I appreciate your time as I'm sure do we all. It's working fine now ?üëç Wouldn't want to be not logged out if Mrs Riddle were to see the Viagra thread, her wondering why she's having a sore Jack and Danny an all :-("

Re: Admin assistance required please
Great work Wils ?üëç Have alternated between both the .net and .co.uk sites. The new incarnation is without a doubt far more stable and accessible.
Re: Admin assistance required please
Good work Wils. Can you do modernisation if the powers that be want it? I think you are going to have to send bank of def a message direct. I see north bank put up a thread the other day looking for help on the same topic. I’m sure he will love this.
Re: Admin assistance required please
"J.Riddle LongTimeUser I worked out the problem with not being able to log out to use your sockpuppets on ,co,uk url. I just had to wipe my knob on the server and it works now. Try again. Thanks for thanks from everyone. Didn't want to see the site die so glad to do my bit to keep the site running so there is place for all us oddballs to keep posting on. I know the big problem is the site slowing down during match day threads. This .co.uk url should make things a lot better but it really depends how many people use the old .net url during those match day threads. Something not within my control. However, I do have another trick up my sleeve that could really sort that out (varnish cache for the nerds). Not sure I will have time to get that working before the weekend especially as I will be at the next two games. But hopefully within the next week or so. Then you should see a really big improvement on those threads during matches. If the person who registers or keeps renewing the .net domain every year (Northbank?) gets in touch with me I could switch that to the set up the .co.uk is pointing to and then things should be really looking up."

"Cheers Wills and whoever else helped to fix it Having not being able to access the site for the best part of two weeks has made me appreciate it more, especially as In a moment of weakness I took a look at KUMB and quickly realised I could never be a part of that scene"

Re: Admin assistance required please
"I stayed on the old .net as some sort of one-man unofficial control group. Since the new domain opened up, the old one seems mostly to have settled down and the only issue I had apart from during the match at the weekend was repeated requests to log in when I tried to reply to a particular thread about an hour before Moyes' press conference earlier today."

Re: Admin assistance required please
"Cheers Wils! I'm on the new link. Seems quicker and it saved my new login details when I logged in which it wasn't before. I don't need to log out so not bothered about that especially as as the old link kept logging me out and randomly asking me to input my registration code in, then letting me in randomly without it."
Re: Admin assistance required please
Wils it hasn't made any difference on co.uk I noticed this message to the right of the login box. Warning: mysql_fetch_object(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/www.westhamonline.net/side_front.php on line 19 I went back on .net to check and l can logout.
