Antonio: can we do any better?
"Let's be honest, he's poor frequently nowadays. So many attacks break down on his clumsy play. Questions: Should he stay in the team? If not, what are the options?"

Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
"10 goals in his last 60 PL appearances. Played 15 passes yesterday and completed 8. Like Soucek, who played 10 passes and complete 8, we are shit because we are effectively playing with 9 men. Nothing will change until Moyes is shown the door."

Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
"I'm the last one to defend Antonio, I don't rate him as a footballer, he's a battering ram. But in fairness to him, it was the same with Haller, Scamacca, it's the same with Ings, and whoever else will get the thankless tasks of playing up front for Moyes. Bowen will mostly look shit if he's played consistently as our lone striker. I might not have mentioned this about a thousand times, but we've spent half a billion pound under this manager building his squad, and we've still got this fella up front feeding off scraps. If you were on the outside looking in, it's actually fucking hilarious, not so much if you have to watch us every week."

"Who knows what the answer is any longer, it's been the same chat for three years now. Who replaces him? Will Moyes change the system, and if he does would it work anyway? Scamacca and Haller have both been and gone. Ings a waste of space. Muamba won't get his chance. Don't have a scooby."

Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
"In Europe, maybe, where they've no experience of playing against him, but Moyes should be blooding a few of the youngsters in the PL, not just cup games. Youngster won't get a game because they lack experience and they lack experience because Moyes won't give them a game."
Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
to answer the question of can we do any better - YES but as we know through bitter experience its hard to find a replacement that can play in the Moyes set up. Perhaps the answer to this comes AFTER this season if Moyes departs
Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
"like Wils said, best reduced to super sub type appearances. Still think he has a lot to offer as a fresh pair of legs against a tiring defence in the last 20-30 mins of games when you need a goal. As a starting striker though, he's (almost) finished. Yes he has contributed here and there (think Brighton and Chelsea) but there are too many days like yesterday now and this has to be the last season we place this much reliance on him as a lone striker."
Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
"Whilst David Moyes is here, no. Moyes has struggled through his entire career to implement a bonafide striker into his teams, as the work he wants strikers to do, they generally don't like doing, if you're not prepared to get into a big physical battle, chasing lost causes and running yourself into the ground every week, for 6 goals a season, then you're out. If Moyes gets a new deal, our next 'striker' will be Jarrod Bowen, Bowen's RW replacement has already been bought"
Re: Antonio: can we do any better?
"Let him do his podcasts. Don’t let him play football. That performance yesterday was rotten. Both in terms of his absolute lack of technical ability, football intelligence but ultimately a total lack of effort. Geezer has gone"
