Re: Saudi Arabia set to host World Cup 2034
"WHU(Exeter) 6:25 Tue Oct 31 Even though they've been warned of the risks staying bring they still refuse to heed that advice? Even though they witness - first hand - civic destruction and loss of their fellow citizens and neighbours on a daily/hourly basis? Guess there comes a time when they have to stand up and accept full responsibility for placing themselves and their children in mortal danger, 'cos the IDF ain't gonna stop hunting Hamas down and destroying their infrastructure, wherever it is. Do you think that, maybe these stubborn Palestinians would seek safer places if it was the threat, say, one of severe flooding that was the source of the peril?"

"Great. I make a prediction that we will be told countless times that its the best world cup ever. Weird to think how different our english team wll be from now until this world cup. I think Israel and Saudi will make peace in that time, given how close they got before Iran started a war. They would probably qualify more if they didn't have to play European teams as they are not accepted in the Middle East."

"Mike, 2 million live in Jordan, and hundreds of thousands in both Lebanon and Egypt. But in case it's escaped you again, they are not asking to be moved in this conflict."

"Ireland might have a chance to qualify for a terrorist world cup, if there's one?"

"Think Palestine are playing the rest of their games in Qatar. Algeria we’re going to act as hosts of their games, but FIFA said no to that. Iran vs Israel"

"work all night, I work all day to pay the bills I have to pay Ain't it sad? And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me That's too bad In my dreams I have a plan If I got me a wealthy man I wouldn't have to work at all, I'd fool around and have a ball Money, money, money Must be funny In the rich man's world Money, money, money Always sunny In the rich man's world Aha All the things I could do If I had a little money It's a rich man's world It's a rich man's world A man like that is hard to find but I can't get him off my mind Ain't it sad? And if he happens to be free I bet he wouldn't fancy me That's too bad So I must leave, I'll have to go To Las Vegas or Monaco And win a fortune in a game, my life will never be the same Money, money, money Must be funny In the rich man's world Money, money, money Always sunny In the rich man's world Aha All the things I could do If I had a little money It's a rich man's world Money, money, money Must be funny In the rich man's world Money, money, money Always sunny In the rich man's world Aha All the things I could do If I had a little money It's a rich man's world It's a rich man's world"

"That's a great question. What would the mutilating, terrorist funding, beheading country do if Israel did qualify for their money laundering World Cup. They certainly couldn't let them in now could they. It would give FIFA a moral..... what am I talking about. Another £100m please and we will kick them out on a made up technicality"

"Is it during Ramadan? Great marketing opportunity there: BOGOF Pilgrimage & Punch-up, Twofer Half-time Hajj. Get the agencies on it pronto!"
Re: Saudi Arabia set to host World Cup 2034
"Wonder if the Saudi authorities, will suspend public beheadings, for the duration of the tournament? Or maybe market it, as something else to watch if you're not at a game? To get a real feel for Saudi culture."

Back in the day they used to put sand on the pitches. Now they're putting pitches on the sand.
