Re: Horror Films
"There’s a lot of decent Horror films out there, but off the top of my head, ones that actually good and aren’t obvious, try: When Evil Lurks - Argentine horror film. Best I’ve seen this year. Talk to Me - Aussie, Teen, Spirits…well reviewed, did fairly well at the box office. Malum - A cop works a last shift at the a police station that is shutting down. Cult. Ghosts. Really freaky. Gojinam - Korean haunted asylum film. Jump scares a plenty. Caveat - Memory loss, psychological horror. Speaking of Psychological Horror, Frailty, by Bill Paxton is one I always recommend. Low budget, but good story. Perpetrator - good one from this year. Especially if you like David Lynch. One Cut of the Dead - Japanese zombie movie. It’s amazing! If you don’t k ow anything about it, try and keep it that way and give it a go."
Re: Horror Films
Not an unknown one and I can't remember what channel it was on but last night but I stumbled across the Salem's Lot two part mini-series (David Soul one) and it still holds up well and is still pretty creepy and far better than the DVD version where they cut it to pieces. Mind you they did cut a few scenes which was a tad odd.

Re: Horror Films
Nagel 9:19 Wed Nov 1 Watched Barbarian last night and thought it was pretty decent. Creep (2004) is a decent watch as well.
Re: Horror Films
"On iplayer I watched The Changeling with George C Scott a while back. A classic, well written and brilliantly acted haunted house story, with no need for stupid jump scares, or pretending a hoax was an actual event or some sort of preachy morality tale. Modern horrors could learn a lot from the old'ns."
Re: Horror Films
"Trying to think of less obvious ones: some recent decent ones are Barbarian, Don't Breathe, Ready or Not, Bone Tomahawk. Of older films agree with the ones already mentioned; Triangle and The Thing, plus several Dario Argento films, especially Suspiria, Tenebre, Deep Red and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Giallo films in general."
Re: Horror Films
"Just watxh ""the thing"" again and thank me later. Failing that I've heard evil dead rises is pretty good Tucker and dale vs evil is on itvx. Little known horror comedy where 2 innocent hillbillies are at their cabin and because of events the college kids think they're serial killers. Some hilarious deaths In that."
