"Yeah. But it was from a pass by a player we signed for delivering great balls to a player we signed for being skilful. We might expect a bit of brilliance. However, I get what you're saying. We don't do it enough. Not having the right target man is obviously part of the problem."

Branded “ Except the winning goal last night of course? Individual bit of brilliance there as I said. We didn’t really work our way up the pitch to get that goal. Was the end of a phase and the ball had come back to us. They tried to play off side and Paq beat the offside trap. Not really what I was talking about. But whatever…

"I'd like to see Bowen back on the wing and Kudus up front. Kudus is explosive over the first 5 metres but seems to lack pace beyond that, tending to run out of steam / up blind alleys on the wing. Reckon he would cause mayhem in a more advanced central role."

"You forget that people were creaming themselves over aguerd and mav not long ago, how things change. The biggest issue we have is no striker which is criminal, last night we struggled to find a final ball, but to who? Even if Bennie delivered a ball in we have no body on the end of it. It’s a must in January and a replacement for Bennie."

"The worrying thing is we are completely devoid of any outstanding defenders in the squad. Zouma is our best defender but he has crocked knee and will breakdown completely soon. Ogbonna and Dawson were better a few seasons ago. The whole squad of defenders including goalkeepers are average to below average for Premier league top 6 level that we strive. And a massive problem is we have no leaders on the pitch. Ag ag got carried away there for minute, forgot Sullivan is happy with 17th."

"Looks like they'd never played together, probably because they were trying to play in a way they haven't been coached to play in. That set up was fine Against Arsenal as we could hit them on the break.. Fuck off Moyes"

"Pretty much the best first team we could put out. Benrahma; Ward Prowse; Paqueta and Bowen all out of position. Highlighted deficiencies in squad, beyond those limited in their rightful position. Great to see Moyes give Mubama a worthwhile run out. Another turgid, painful display. I'll take the win but my eyes are still bleeding from that performance. NEW MANAGER PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"The way and frequency of Moyes playing established players out of position makes me wonder if there is an unspoken-about managers' award for re-inventing the best established, possible international, player into another position - such as turning Messi into the world's number one goalkeeper - overnight. We have done such changes in the past, mainly with players young enough to grow into their new role, but trying it with established multi-million purchases is just fucking bonkers."

"“Scraped home” sums up that win but at least we did win. It’s all been said before about Moyes and just another example last night that he doesn’t know how to set a team up to play any other way. And you cannot just flip a switch and expect it to happen. It needs lots of work in training, the right type of players for it and those players in a role that is suited to them. It’s a whole philosophy that should run thru the club and every team so that you get pmayers coming thru just seamlessly fit with the style and tactics as they step up. Not sitting deep and in shape exposes problems in several areas. Lack of pace and effective pressing especially in midfield, lack of pace and movement as a team, passing accuracy issues for several players and poor quality for crossing and final balls in attacking situations: We have 4 or 5 players, maybe more that need to replaced as first choices and while Moyes now finally seems to be trying that it’s all the aforementioned problems being exposed so it’s going to take a change of coach/manager and another transfer window ot two to address imo. On the subject of Benrahma, he’s not a wide player and never was until Moyes put him into that wide left role. Just like Fornals isn’t and more recently just like Paqueta isn’t. Benrahma was a no 10 at Brentford iirc? No pace, not knowing when to cross and poor decision making. He needs to move ejsewhere while Moyes is manager. Anyway, we will struggle against Forest"

"I’ve noticed that Moyes’ teams can’t play through the middle of the park. The difference with city or Arsenal is that they can break through defences from wide or the middle. If you’re a team facing West Ham you sort of don’t have to worry about anything going through the middle. Which makes it a little easier. Our goals all end up coming from wide positions, counters or some individual bit of brilliance. I don’t think I’ve seen a West Ham goal in recent times where we’ve worked a few passes through the middle into a goal. This mindset means we hog the wings massively. From throw ins we just have this narrow space to work in, just hogging the wings. Our defenders are too scared to pass the ball to players in the middle, always using the wings. I’d really like to see us play a bit narrower with our wingers tucking in and concentrate on moving the ball around the middle of the park more. One thing about city / Arsenal is that there movement off the ball gives clear options for short passes all over the pitch. There’s always something on for every player. I know we have the players to do this. I just think being so direct in this league is going to get you nowhere. If possession wasn’t king, why do all the best sides have high possession rates?"

"The problem with Benrahma is in his head. It was evident in the play off final for Brentford... you know, the one just before the summer in which we signed him. High stakes, failed to deliver. Subbed. Seeing that I'd be never have bought him, but we did (and overlooked the significantly better Watkins) Having bought him, however, we shoukd have focused on his strengths and coached out his weaknesses - made him do hours and hours of shooting practice and engaged the best sports psychologist money could buy. Its so obvious He made some excellent contributions in the first Europa League season but his confidence is so fucking fragile As far as his shots yesterday are concerned, I'm not sure any were on target - including the one the keeper saved well (which wasn't hit as he'd intended anyway)"

"We got the win which was the most important thing but yet again come away from there thinking why have i bothered going to watch that shit Thought it was a poor performance, there is no coaching....no style of play or clear tactics going forward to try and score. Having our only goal threat from corners at home to a team like that is fucking awful. Thought Aguerd and Coufal were our best two......although Coufal going forward could be alot better as usual. For me our midfield is an issue. Alvarez needs to not pick up a card every week in first 20 mins.... it fucks him up for the rest of the game. JWP needs to not just pass sideways and backwards all the time.....try and ball carry, try and break lines with some attacking passes. Paqueta drifts about which is fine.....but it means most the time there is no one in the hole to pick the ball up and hurt teams. He also needs to stop giving the fucking ball away so cheaply, especially in his own half Benny just doesnt have the end product, i like him.... i think at the moment he is just shot of confidence and can be alot better but the final ball this season has been absolutely shocking Big one sunday now, but after the last few games not expecting much. The whole team looks stale, Moyes looks out of ideas....... we all know how it is going to end its just painful watching the inevitable slowly happen."

"Well that was another dull game spoilt by poor performances and a ref that seemed to want Olympiacos to win. All managers have games like that one but Moyes is getting too many now. Especially against an under performing Greek side that we should be light years ahead of. And they played 4-4-2 which I thought had seen its day. However, with only 2 central midfielders they outplayed our 3 for most of the game and that was without Soucek until he honoured us with his faltering subs appearance. I really do wonder what our lads do in training. As others say, Benrahma is the slowest winger and can't even cross a ball accurately. Alvarez is our DM but often found in the opposition half. He does get back but surely should be there prepared? Paqueta spends the games falling over and rolling around appealing for a free kick or passing to the opposition before producing sublime moments of creative play. Kudus looks good but lost on the wing. Our 2 full backs both get forward well but they seem incapable of stopping crosses into our box. Coufal can only cross to their defenders. Shouldn't they be working on these things? Bowen is not a lone striker. He did OK against Arsenal because they left space for him to operate in. Olympiacos defended deep to show us that isn't a long term solution for striker. It's the same reason Antonio only works well when he has loads of space to outpace CB's. We have needed a decent striker for several seasons. How good could we have been with a Kane at CF? My point is that if I see these faults week in and week out what the f*ck happens in training? Shouldn't Moyes be getting these things worked on and improved by now? I can't help feeling he has to go and go soon but our board won't sack him while we are in Europe..."
