I also think we might scrape a 1-0 today so we jump into the top half and improve our Premier league record to JUST 25 defeats in the last 50. Moysie can then spend the international break posing for his 300ft STATUE which will replace the red squiggly thing outside the stadium

"ED - Sure, I don't doubt he's a good bloke, always seem him as old school West Ham/East London, despite how it ended with us. I think where I get my opinion of him, as far as his personality is concerned, is he was a pundit for a good while on the cable I get over here and he was very weak, cliched, just sat on the fence, never said anything of much interest or of any insight, similar to when I have seen him on YT videos etc, to me he just comes across as a bit of a dull bloke, wouldn't be at the top of your invite list for a party, but maybe he is different away from the mic, etc."

"Manuel 12:00 Sun Nov 12 I'm the complete opposite with Curbishley, hated him as our manager, but as a bloke he's very good company, surprisingly funny. That aside, this bollocks about judging Moyes based on former managers is a load of old bollocks, small time shit that should be reserved for the likes of Norwich, not a Premier League club that's been in the top 5/6 spenders over the last few years. We've never been that in our history, so it's fucking pointless judging. There is absolutely no good fucking reason we should be going into games against teams like Brighton or Chelsea with 10 men behind the ball, hoping they don't score and that we get a lucky break. When that is your main tactic, it means that when games come along when the opposition do the same, like Everton, the ball is like a hot fucking potato, no fluidity to our play at all because the football is our enemy. We deserve better than that. We've got a fantastic fanbase, huge stadium, spend massive money, have some unbelievably talented players, and we approach the majority of our games like a fucking non league team who's drawn Man City in the cup. Load of fucking shit."

"Without the cup runs, geezer would have been sacked ages ago. There is no doubt about it. He has the worst record of any manager in any of Europeans top leagues let alone the PL. It really is the twilight zone when it comes to this manager. It’s like as fans that watch our team week in week out it’s like being gaslighted. We can see he’s been shit for nearly 2 yrs straight. But the cup runs in Europe and the initial covid period have everyone outside of our club looking at us like we’re ungrateful. I think Newcastle fans had a similar problem with Bruce. They kept moaning about their manager but I always thought was the problem ? As they had been shit for a while and why should the expect anything else? I thought they hated him cos of Sunderland etc. bruce seems a nice guy as well. Howe comes in and completely transforms that team. Even without a lot of money. I’m still desperate for us to beat Forest. Even though I want Moyes gone I still want him to win. It feels weird, but my love for the club is beyond any one person. I always want us to do well, regardless of who’s representing us or managing us etc. but I’m feeling a sense of de ja vu here. If we lose today we are literally free falling down the table again. Just like last season. And I have the same feeling that every club bar the maybe the bottom 2 plays better football than us again. So every game is a nervy one. How can we have so many good players, have spent so much money, have won a European competition, yet still seriously worry whether we would actually beat a team like Burnley? It’s just mental."

"I loved the Redknapp years as well and he deserves a lot of credit (Along with Tony Carr) for bringing through a lot of great academy kids into the first team. It was an entertaining period for the club that’s for sure. I do disagree that Redknapp didn’t get backing though if you are talking financially. When we were struggling in the league the board gave him a lot of money at that time to bring in Raduciou, Dumitrescu, Kitson, Hartson & Lomas. Then subsequently the likes of Di Canio, Kanoute & Sinclair. A lot of money was wasted on the likes of Wanchope, Suker, Song, Charles, Minto, Todorov, Ruddock, Margas, Boogers, Foxe, Soma, Camara etc. A great period though entertainment wise. It was never boring under Harry whether you liked him or not."

"I also liked Curbishley, as a bloke he comes across as a limp wristed dick, but I liked him as our manager, and for me it really seemed like West Ham when he was here, and remember being a bit gutted when he left. A bit similar with Bilic, although of course they both left for very different reasons, Bilic had to go and should have gone much earlier."

"Well it’s very likely we will get a new manager next season, I just don’t know enough about what manager would suit us. Pelligrini at the time let me down when I thought he was the step up, but nearly every manager has let us down after a brief good spell. Moyes at least gave us 3 steady seasons and I enjoyed going Europe."

"I think what has complicated things further now is that Moyes seems to be at a crossroads with Antonio, by that I mean he doesn't seem sure if he can rely on him anymore and whether or not he should be a starter like he always has been? Then add into the mix he seems to be trying convince himself that Bowen can play as a 9, but you know he isn't sure. He knows he has to play Kudus now, but where? ditto Paqueta, and does he still think Benrahma can be useful, he doesn't seem to know. Further back, he also now seems to be at a crossroads with Soucek too. Add to that, he is now, finally, doubting Aguerd, but does he fancy Dinos enough to start him ahead of him? In short, he seemingly no longer has a clue about his best line up, or for that matter, system too."

"For me I loved the Redknapp years and wish he had been given the backing that Moyes has had. Then Roeder I thought was a disastrous appointment, Pardew a mehhh but I quite liked Curbishley which made me unpopular on here. I loved Zola but he was never going to succeed without financial backing. Grant I expected to be good but quickly realised he was shit. Allardyce I hated from the start which made Bilic all the more lovable. I never liked Moyes from the off and was glad he was ditched for Pellegrini who I expected lots from but his failure was appointing Husillos who couldn't get the players needed for the prices Sully would pay... Moyes I'm still not happy with because he's a dour, miserable, tactical numpty, control freak. That is bearable if he gets it right but he only seems to do that against weak teams."

"I was a fan of how Billic & Pellegrini got us playing in their first seasons, but not a fan of their transfer business to progress that…little things like Billic requesting Sully goes out and gets the best player in Europe for creating chances….. and we got Payet."

"terry-h 11:08 Sun Nov 12 ''If we lose today and also the next two games, the jock from Glasgow must go!'' Great insight."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Nottm Forest - Official Match Thread - Preview
Blimey you can be depressing Sir Alf! On the other hand in football surprising things happen and as an optimist I think we might just win the game. Moyes has a habit of winning ones that matter. Not from tactical nouse but plain old-fashioned effort and will to win....

"Moyes had us performing consistent well in the league for the COVID season ( Sept 2020 - May 2021 ) and for the first 4 months of the following 2021/2022 season from August thru November. A total of 13 months. A top half team for roughly a season and a half. We have been inconsistent and a bottom half team since then for the remainder of the 2021/2022 season ( 6 months ) , 2022/23 season ( 9 months) and this season 3 months. That’s 18 months of inconsistent results and bottom half , losing football. His record in the league is 13 good months and 18 poor months which will soon be 19 poor months. His European record is very decent but will end this season if as expected we don’t qualify via league position and don’t win the Europa. He was a busted flush 2 years ago and its that the European campaigns have blinded everyone. Great we won something thx but time to replace. It’s obvious surely ? I don’t expect us to win the Forest game. The data shows us on an ever deepening descent in the league. :-("

"Oh yeah RM10, he won us a trophy that we were favourites to win having only spent 200m more than everyone else in the competition. Lets keep him forever even though results are shit, football is shit and he wastes money like nobody else on the planet. Fucking moron."

"All I’m asking for is to see us play some exciting, attacking football that involves good movement and accurate passing that results in some well fashioned goals. But seeing as we haven’t seen any of that for quite some time then I shan’t be holding my breath."

"We'll win this. Moyes always gets a result just to spite us all when a good sacking opportunity arises. It'll be a shit game with not an ounce of creativity on display until Paqueta or Kudus magic something out of thin air, then Moyes will strut around the pitch at full time like he just masterminded el Alamein, safe in the job for another 1000 years."
