Thought we played well 2nd half and are starting to play a more open game which is what l thought we all wanted. Decent result considering it can be a struggle for teams playing in Europe on a Thursday night.

"Zico: I agree with you about trying out Kudus on the left. Someone needs to threaten the by-line. Bowen is happy and effective on the right wing. He and Coufal have an understanding there. All Kudus does there is pass backwards. To be honest I don't think that Kudus, yet another of our one-footed players, will last in the EPL. Bowen is not useless on his right foot, but players like Kudus and Benrahma should either be on their natural wings or should be moved out."

"Desperately needed 3 points BUT..... Bowen is no No 9 and is more affective on the right cutting in Kudas just don't know where he fits in, such a talent but cannot play as a winger when we have Bowen that plays that role much better, maybe he could fill in as a No 9?? Paquetta now how frustrating is this amazing talent, flashes of brilliance but such a show pony that loses the ball so many times, just play the simple ball sometimes and FFS stay on ya feet more Coufal better than last year but omg so many aimless balls into the box when players ain't even in there but he does out in a shift Soucek better from him but not sure he should play Infront on Ward Prowse Ward Prowse great game and usual set piece magic but wanna see him further forward Zouma and Agreed both worry me and we are so bad at the back with these two as a central partnership but is Mavropanos any better?? Areola deffo first choice, great saves and for once assertive in the box For me it's a complete Striker we need, a left Winger ( maybe kudas ) a more sold Centre Half and a right back Those 3 and a manager that can play players In the right position and has a plan B when losing and doesn't tell players to sit when 2-1 up with 50 minutes to go ( Brentford ) and I think we are top 6 material, we showed in flashes today how good we can be"

"Good We were the better team and deserved that, but boy did we make it difficult with some dodgy defensive moments. Looking better"

"""I thought we played okay but we were that slow in the first half that I was bored myself watching it at times."" Not me, that is a quote from Moyes. He clearly wasn't happy with our first half performance."

"Soucek probably our best attacking threat today. Deserved his goal. I agree he is a bit lost with where he is being asked to play. I'd have him with Alvarez and JWP further forward. No doubt we could do with more involvement from him. When he first came he had incredible stamina, was more aggressive and won a lot of balls, now he seems off the pace chasing shadows. There is no doubt that his impact at set plays and even joining the play is good. He made some decent defensive clearances as Forest pumped the ball in. He's a great option to have, able to play in different positions but doesn't seem to fit as well with the quicker more technical players we have. Relieved at the 3 points today. Not a memorable match but 3 goals scored. Need to do better defensively and workrate seems to drop off in games."

Did I hear wrong and Coufal got MotM
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Nottm Forest - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Well Soucek did very little for 70 minutes and then got the winner and could have4 had a hat trick so Moyes is either lucky or a genius! Really need to find a solution to Bowen and Kudus being natural in the same position. You lose so much from Bowen as a striker as he doesn't get the ball as much up there. Personally I'd try Kudus on the left and just get him driving past the full back and pulling crosses back to the penalty spot and just get him and Bowen to keep swapping over. This for me allows Paqueta to play centrally, although then by doing that JWP drops deeper! Certainly a quandary. Three points though and that'll do."

Vital 3 points but that was scrappy as fuck. Forest will be gutted. Gifted us a first goal and allowed us straight back in it after they took the lead. Better second half performance but a lot of it was from so many errors. It’s a good job we bought JWP as without his set pieces and corners we’d be struggling for goals.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Nottm Forest - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Soucek popped up and did what he is in the team to do. We need a new right back, hopefully in January. A shame that players in good form early in the season have been moved into positions that have hampered the progress of them and the team. Moyes is here till the end of the season so just have to except it, it is what it is."

Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Nottm Forest - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Manuel I am indeed tedious when it comes to Soucek because we get into trouble in midfield when he plays. If he was a striker no problem with him being invisible apart from a goal but he ain’t. Great to get the victory but it’s just a continuation of patchy league form since Nov 2021. But focusing one at was better. JWP central and less defensive. Paqueta our best player although messed up a couple of times to make the victory less stressful with a forth Areola ? Should have have held the first of their goals although would need to see how hard it was hit. Otherwise a couple of excellent saves that kept us in it. Coufal lacks pace so we need better longer term but he gives 100% Aguerd good performance, his pace is a real asset along with his ability to pop a 40 yard diagonal onto a players feet Zouma great aerially and kept it simple but looks like an injury waiting to happen Emerson got the wrong side of their attacker for their first goal but probably it was as much Kudus and Bowen losing cheaply in midfield that cost us although it’s where we need midfielders with legs to get back quickly ( hence my masssive issue with Soucek ) JWP behind Paqueta just as our best player Kudus so strong. Aside from the fck up for their first he causes problems for teams with his running Alvarez good solid and good performance. I was cursing him and not Soucek coming off but grabbed a large slice of humble pie as Moyes gamble worked with Antonio perhaps busying the Forest defence to make space for Soucek Bowen great second half Soucek ? Invisible for 85 mins but gets the winner. His often will that happen ? Needs to be replaced with an upgrade. Some be with pace as Kudus demonstrated helping Coufal out so well"

"Well. Roller AND Coaster. Good 2nd half for the neutral, another match where Moyes failed to have the team put it to bed. Sucek WAS fucking unlucky twice and for that alone deserved the winner. If City do the honours, I believe that we go into the break in the top half of the table."

Our defence is absolutely atrocious . And it will stop us finishing as high up as we should given the players we have and obviously Moyes dosent help either. I've never seen a manager constantly play his better players out of position just so he can squeeze his favourites in ..

Tepid first half but a really entertaining second half and at least we went for it. We could have scored more and there are obviously defensive issues but happy with the 3 points. COYI!

"While some predicted defeat today and a poor result on Thursday, some pointed out that Moyes always gets a result when he needs it. If we beat Burnley next that will put us on 20 pts and we will be looking healthy again in the table. Oh well. Alf - You're a proper tedious bastard, hopefully you will have your own international break."

Made that harder than it should have been. 3 goals and 3 points paper over some cracks. Very frustrating as we have the potential to be a very good attacking side.
