Joey Barton was spot on with his twitter/x comments last night about female pundits and commentators. Absolutely spot on. Sadly though the woke brigade piled on. There is enough women’s football on now so why do we need them doing the men’s game? Lucy Ward is dreadful.

"He‚Äôs built a team around Soucek. The idea is to concede as few as possible first 75 minutes and rely on the ‚ÄúPotatoe Salad Man‚Äù to save us with an equaliser or score the winner. He‚Äôs nailed on to continue this scoring until his career at West Ham comes to an end. He‚Äôs a goal scoring machine ( *** taps nose *** ). Marvel at the headers, the pointing, instant ball control and his deceptive pace ( he‚Äôs slower than anyone thinks ) . Touch?© Moyesiah, touch?© Tommy !!!"

"North Bank, agree, what a game. Think Villa have shown the rest of the league how to play City, no point sitting back, are you reading Mr Moyes, just have lots of pace and keep attacking."

"I was bored so watched the Aston Villa v City match last night and what a breath of fresh air Villa were, I appreciate City had a few players out, but that's giving them an excuse. Villa were on the front foot from the off and went at City like no team I've previously seen and City couldn't cope with it, Villa deserved that result. It got me thinking what would it be like if Moyes had a pair of bollocks and let us off the leash, we'll never know will we, but at least we can look forward to June when he departs into the sun."
