"Terrible,Terrible performance. Terrible, Terrible manager A lucky cսnt of a manager though. We win despite him. Ings was so shit it was hardly noticed that he went off but looked shocked. Moyes even said he played well. That sums him up. Truly the most negative manager ever at West Ham. 85 minutes of pure shit with only Mubama,a player Moyes doesn't want to use showing any desire. Thankfully Kudus woke up and put in 2 great assists. Mubama creating havoc,Soucek finishing brilliantly. Before that there was not one performance above 5 out of 10,mostly 3's. It's just sad to see talented players look awful. It's sad to see other top teams play 17yr odds with talent when we have a whole team of talented youth not getting a chance. What more does this fraud of a manager have to see to be brave and proactive? I wouldn't be surprised that now Mubama's goal has been declared an og that Ings starts again. Moyes and two and any Moyes lovers can piss off"

"fraser - So we have 3 CM's that can't really do anything much at all then? not that I'm disagreeing. JWP can't carry the ball and rarely passes forward, so he's just there for set pieces? Alvarez is only good at screening (we could have kept Downes for that)? and all Soucek offers is to nick a goal? It's shit."

"Agree with the last few posts ( Nick, Fraser etc). Dont think Alvarez should be dropped. The opposite in fact. He’s first on the team sheet imo. But as mentioned he needs Paqueta back alongside to share the workload and we need another central midfielder with an engine and good technique in the squad as Alvarez cannot play 90 mins of every game. Play players in their best positions. Get more movement up top and in midfield. Benrahma, Fornals, Paqueta are not wide left players and never were. Soucek should not start games in the Premiership and be an impact sub but we need that additional central midfielder in the squad. Antonio should not play as a central striker. He’s another impact sub out wide. Coufal not quick enough or technically good enough going forward but like Soucek great squad players with 100% commitment and attitude. An upgrade on Zouma and / or Aguerd maybe required longer term. Aguerd gets picked for his ability ( although was shocking at it yesterday) to hit a long diagonal pass as Moyes still ultimately only knows this tactic as it’s part of his one trick pony show ( sit deep, keep the shape, narrow, low block and direct quick counter attacks and set pieces ) Mubama deserves more game time. Cornet needs some minutes but I can only think it’s the fact that he was brought into the club against Moyes wishes? He did t with Benrahma, Downes. Ings was someone Moyes pushed for or agreed to as was Vlasic which is why they were given a chance even though both failed? Cornet is a decent player. He is quick , good feet and an eye for goal ( when I last saw him play regularly at Burnley ) but Moyes won’t play him at all ever ?"

"Like others have said, Moyes will be presuming himself for “turning it around” when in reality he put players in their natural position and put a more direct and effective striker on the pitch. Despite most fans asking for it every week my Moyes is now some sort of tactical genius. Can’t wait until he’s gone."

"When we signed Alvarez he was just someone who Sat back and screened the back 4. But he seems to be going forward a lot with the ball as he's the fastest and most capable in the three of him, Soucek and JWP... Then gets caught out, it really isn't his game. But the other two just don't carry the ball. Soucek can't pass it either. JWP rarely passes it forward.. The player who should be in there is out on the left wing or drifting all over the place, when he does there's rarely anyone on the left and we're unbalanced. A lot of players playing out of position, it's an absolute shit show and painful to watch. If we had Alvarez last season with Rice alongside him, he would have been left to do what he's good at and just anchor the midfield."

"Manuel I agree re Alvarez coming off, it was the right decision. I think he's a good player and will improve as he gets use to the prem. He wins his tackles, is calm on the ball in tight spots and keeps possession well. He is a liability though with the constant yellows. However, with no proper holding midfielder apart from him hr has to start. Pacqueta has to come back into the middle and as much as I like Soucek, he's occupying Paquetas spot which makes no sense. Hard to drop Soucek though when's he has scored 2 winners recently!"

"Ings doesn't have a physical presence but instead of starting Mubama, Moyes shoves Soucek up next to Ings to win headers. That means Paqueta gets shoved to left wing. It's kid's stuff but Moyes is obsessed by that tactic which he keeps repeating in spite of it not working. It really really shouldn't have a place in the PL where we have most of the best players in the world. Moyes has to go to stop showing himself up but I'll bet he preens himself in front of the cameras about bringing on Mubama and the tactical switch that should never have been needed in the first place..."

"Fonz - I think most like Soucek as a bloke, I was pleased for him too (and us) and he took his goal very well. I know the Mexican was on a yellow, as usual, but Moyes was right bringing him off, and I'm beginning to wonder what he brings to the party? A Tim signing, right? I would leave him (or Soucek) out against Palace and go more attacking, but of course it won't happen with this cսnt in charge. Ings and Cornet both should have their contacts torn up and paid out."

Overall was a poor performance but there is something satisfying about a smash and grab. We have been on the wrong side of them many times over the years. Hopefully this cements Mubama starting / getting on ahead of Ings. Fed up of seeing him hardly touch the ball when he is on I am a fan of Soucek but can appreciate if he doesn't score he offers very little. Very happy for him.

"I said at the time I was surprised when City come in for Paqueta, but what the fuck do I know compared to a genius like Pep, but of course he will be better with better players and in a better position, but if he carried on for them like he does with us Guardiola would put him up against the wall and shoot him. Wil be interesting to see if they come back for him? Woke up happy with the win but still disgusted with that pathetic display, there is a little gap below us now and we have Palace next, but that won't be easy for us, why? because we are fucking rubbish with an absolute cսnt of a manager, and also a very lucky one. Mumbama did well, shame his goal was not given to him."

This is Moyes tactics. He's getting the best of Paqueta with it. https://fb.watch/oyj0pmu0EK/ Even Fry and Laurie predicted Dave tactics in the east end of London

Interesting that Ian Wright said on MOTD that Mubama should be starting.

"Funny; didn't play for 60 minutes, then controlled the last 30. We seem to have these games straight after the international break. Eventually it's all about points, but we did make hard work of that. That might see the end of Ings. Mubama far work effective in 30 minutes."

"Paqueta seemed thrilled when Soucek scored so I’m not sure if he’s unhappy. I’d be pissed if I was him - getting stuck out on the left, constantly receiving the ball 20 yards from his own goal, back to goal with no forward options. Not an excuse for giving it away or keep falling over though."
