Divin Mubama
"You have definitely got to feel sorry for the lad. He had a great pre season, looked like he had finally broken through and was going to be a solid option for Moyes and the potential to save the club millions on buying a striker. Moyes said he wanted him to stay and I have it on good authority that he was wanted by Gillingham on a season long loan as they were on the look out for a young striker who was able to be a big part of their team. Neil Harris at the time saw him as a good option and was more than happy to give him first team football. Divin wanted the move but Moyes vetoed it. Now he sits there on the bench not getting a sniff at any football, another one Moyes has wasted and no doubt he will get a chance in an upcoming game, probably not take his chance due to match fitness and then Moyes will look vindicated in not picking him, not picking up on the fact that he would need a few games to get up to speed, but once he does inhave no doubt that he is the natural replacement for Antonio and should be coming off the bench when we are chasing the game rather than Danny fucking Ings."
Re: Divin Mubama
"Moyes talking about Mubama saying he was offered a deal 12 months ago but refused to sign. Looks like the club are trying to lay all the blame with the player and taking no responsibility for these youngsters wanting to leave. Let's be onest, what young player would want to stay at a club where he's never going to get a proper chance to play? https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/divin-mubama-contract-west-ham-transfer-news-2023-b1119620.html"

Re: Divin Mubama
Dr Matt . Rooney is completely scathing about Moyes and his attitude to young players. He was literally forced by the Everton fans into giving him a go . Even I'd heard how good he was and I don't pay attention to other clubs .
Re: Divin Mubama
Exactly goose. I said he played useless in a European game. Branding someone as useless is a different thing altogether as you well know. Nice to see that you went to such lengths to prove me wrong. Splat!
Re: Divin Mubama
Moyes - for all his faults - is not a complete retard. He watches these guys in training ever day. Mubama and Marshall must be utter dog shit in training if they are so far away from the first team. The irony being that as a pair they’d be quite a good mini Antonio and Bowen. So they seem perfect to an untrained eye. Ings and Antonio must be soooo much better than them in training.
Re: Divin Mubama
He was never the answer but he has deserved a chance to try to prove himself ahead of Danny Dogshit. Given he's had no fucking chances how does he come to the idea he's worth the stupid money he's supposedly asking for? Is he a bit dim or suvvink?
Re: Divin Mubama
"goose 4:14 Sun Nov 5 Re: Divin Mubama Most outlets seem to have given him a 7. Hardly useless. Ridiculous branding him useless from 77 minutes. --------------------------------------- What are you talking about? When did I ""brand him useless?"" I didn't did I? What are you desperately trying to prove goose? I'm pretty sure now that it wasn't in the Europa but against Leverkusen in the pre-season 4-0 friendly defeat. Mubama started and had a very bad time of it that I remember. Mubama was taken off at half time and replaced by Antonio. He's had little to nothing since iirc?"
Re: Divin Mubama
"While they persist with Moyes, they should remove all reference to being the Academy of Football. They love trotting it out on social media when a handful get played in a dead rubber European group game. I’m not actually convinced that Mubama is the answer or will make it beyond the football league, but he can’t be any worse than Ings! Marshall is the one that seems to have the most potential to me. Looks the nearest thing to Bowen albeit a right footed version, and if, as I suspect, Bowen is now first choice striker once everyone is available surely it makes sense to have Marshall as an option in squads if that’s your model of a forward. Plus he can play on the wing so Moyes would love him. Again, not sure he’s ready, but he must be a better option than Ings… There is a theme."

Re: Divin Mubama
"One bad game doesn't make him a bad player. Ings has done literally fuck all for the best part of a season now, and I have actually had his back and suggested Moyes hasn't got the best out of him playing him out of position. However yesterday it was set up for him and he couldn't trap a bag of cement, he didn't take his chance. Moyes made 2 subs yesterday and we were chasing the game why not bring on Mubama, why lose 3-2 when you can lose by 4 or 5, the result is still the same but it was like he wanted the 3-2 defeat. 2 subs is diabolical, when he has options on the bench, Cornet is an option, Mubama also, He will never get his chance if Moyes doesn't utilise everything at his disposal. Frank made 5 subs yesterday. 4 of them when they were 3-2 up and they weren't all defenders."
Re: Divin Mubama
goose The one goal Mubama scored was from a sun appearance and I recall it was a tap in but I was delighted for him. I looked forward to seeing him start in a game and I watched for his performance. He didn‚Äôt score by the way. But even if he did that doesn‚Äôt mean his overall game wasn‚Äôt disappointing because I‚Äôm sure it was but only going from memory. Moyes has not played him since and I can‚Äôt help but feel Moyes has lost faith in him. Maybe there‚Äôs more to it and the contract demands suggest that too. Of course I‚Äôm open to the idea that Moyes is a know nothing cսnt but it is possible Mubama has lost his way. If he showed as much promise in training since that game surely Moyes would have played him rather than Ings?

Re: Divin Mubama
"I just hope that it's announced Moyes has gone before he (Mubama) decides his future lies elsewhere. He could be the one that really kicks on in the game. The likes of Ekwah aren't doing too bad and would surely better a better option coming off the bench or starting in the cups and in Europe rather than flogging Fornals who again has been destroyed by Moyes, playing him out on the fucking left wing."

Re: Divin Mubama
How can a club that invests in a football academy persist with a first-team manager like Moyes? His record with strikers and new talent is appalling - I just don't get it.

Re: Divin Mubama
"I reckon Moyes reads too much Bible and has a Samson theory of Danny Ings. Once Danny's hair reaches his waist without him regaining his football prowess, Moyes will give up on him, and Mubama will finally get off the bench"
Re: Divin Mubama
"Before this descends in farce, the point is he’s had 1 (?) start in Europe. We won the game convincingly and he was directly involved in one of the goals. What more do you want from the kid? Hardly a basis to label him useless."

It‚Äôs funny what you miss living abroad but talking to those who do live over here and those that go what to put up with‚Ķ..it is more commonly known as being a gormless cսnt‚Ķ.
Re: Divin Mubama
"Or this: There was then another landmark moment as local boy Mubama, who has been at the club since the age of eight, scored his first senior goal after flicking in from Tomas Soucek's header at a corner. I make it two goals in two European games."
Re: Divin Mubama
"“ On 3 November 2022, Mubama made his debut for West Ham in a UEFA Europa Conference League tie against Romanian club FCSB.[5] West Ham won the game 3–0 with Mubama’s header diverted into his own goal by FCSB’s Joyskim Dawa for West Ham’s second goal.[6][7]” This kind of pretty useless?"
Re: Divin Mubama
The problem is that when we did give Mubama a start he was pretty useless against one of the Europa teams. He is most effective coming on for 10 - 15 minutes to gain some confidence though.
