Straw Poll: Would you sack Moyes if we lose to Forest?

Post Come On You Irons »

That would be four league defeats in a row and five without a win. Would that be enough for you to pull the trigger? YES OR NO.

"What sort of supporter wants us to lose, fucking crap. Yes, that's about it, I not over the moon about some of the football, but at times it goes in the right direction and offers hope. Don't understand how someone said Moyes has not played good counter attaching football. Good win last night, not the most pretty, but good against a well organised defence."

You always think people are worse off than you Branded when they are not….I don’t do streams I just catch the result so I also don’t do ‘knocker’ wetting…..Moyes’s football is that bad I don’t entertain it…..I’ll wait on for a new manager and then give them the benefit….. and IF there is any joy it’s few and far between…not enough to warrant any real jubilation…..FOMO about West Ham is now gone for me…..glad you are willing to pretend to put up with it though….

"I see us winning both, or worst case a win and a draw. This is based on Moyes historically getting results when he needs them, Greeks are generally crap away from home, and Forest have an awful away record. Also, it looks like he is finally binning Antonio, so hopefully we will see a repeat of how we looked against Arsenal, the second half anyway. All that said, I hope we lose both :-)"

Russ I actually think we will lose tonight and against Forest and I reckon he will go during the break. I have a feeling Potter is lined up and would work very well with TS. Actually… that’s just wishful thinking!

And BTW and FWIW - I think Forest are going to turn us over on Sunday. And that's not me being negative for the sake of it. They are in good form and play proper decent football. I can actually see a bit of a drubbing.

"Mex Martillo 8:43 Thu Nov 9 I'm very confused. But from what I can read into you have described the way you want us to play but then admit that we don't do it very well nor often enough? And you are using that to defend Moyes? How long has been our manager? And he still cannot coach a squad of players into playing good counter attack football. I'll tell you what the problem is. Moyes doesn't know what we are. He doesn't know our best eleven. Nor does he know our best formation or style of play. That's why in odd games we look excellent and most weeks we look fucking turgid. Because when the manager doesn't know exactly what his team is and what it should do, then guess what? Neither do the players. West Ham are a ghost under Moyes. Some games we frighten teams, but most games we get beat because although we are there the opponent realises very quickly we can;t actually hurt them."

Mex again… what? that first paragraph is all over the place about not playing possession football but you want us to be on the ball more and to retain it through the defence into midfield. I also love that you think it’s possible for us to play like Liverpool. But the best but is this…. “Moyes attack from a solid defence has been working”.

Erm all that waffle and excuse but you didn’t read all what the youth player said in your keenness to stick up for Moyes’s shit football….yep he knows how West Ham should play and he plays that in a winning West Ham team…. “It’s good to play in a team that is always on the ball”

"I agree with that youth player Side of Ham. I also want our senior team to be on the ball looking to attack. Looking to attack does not necessarily mean possession football. Our senior team does look to attack. Problem is they often lose the ball too early when defending or early in midfield. We need to work on playing from the back and through midfield. But I think going forward quickly to attack the goal as quickly as possible is definitely the way to go and we do do that. Losing the ball in their box or shooting on goal is ok. We just need to do that more often. I agree we don't do it often enough and lose the ball too quickly. Liverpool have taken this type of football to the top. Would you say Liverpool play possession football? I aspire that we can play like Liverpool and think we have the potential to do that. I cannot see us getting players to play like Man City. I think that's unattainable. I think Liverpool type of system is possible. Did you big Moyes out and possession football fans support Pellegrini when he was aiming to implement possession football? I did. It didn't work. Pellegrini is a good manager. What we play may not be the most pretty at the moment, but Moyes attack from a solid defence has been working. I hope it does and we have a good season. I hope we win today and on Sunday. If we don't win on Sunday, I wouldn't sack Moyes."

"Mex.....this youth player knows more of what West Ham should be about than you......granted he comes from a West Ham mad family..... ""Orford praised the U21s tactical set-up and admits he is enjoying playing in a side that is always looking to be on the front foot. “It’s good to play in a team that is always on the ball and looking to attack,” he added. “It’s the best type of team to be in as a midfielder."""

"“I agree football is not good at times, but what Moyes is doing is what we should be doing, we just need more attacking coming from better ball control from the back. Possession football isn't going to work and wouldn't be more entertaining.“ Do you honestly believe this? Especially the last bit… got to be a wind up?"
