"Ridiculous innings that needs to be saluted. I was thoroughly enjoying it at 90-7, thinking they could be all out for under 100. Fair play to him, he showed true grit to keep going and save them."

"Maxwell scored more runs yesterday, than Bairstow's managed in this entire World Cup. Probably true, of a few other English players too."

"Extraordinary stuff. When a sportsman, or sportswoman, does something as incredible as this it has to be acknowledged, or what's the point? ' ''He was dropped twice, on 24 and 33, and also started to leave the field on 27 before, much to his surprise, he was reprieved after opting to review when given out lbw.''"

Decent knock. Won with a win percentage of 0.46% apparently. More astonishing was that Michael Gough got a decision overturned. GOAT Umpire.

"His total for this one innings is only slightly less than the average score England have made all tournament. That is some win, as at 91/7 they looked down and out."
