"Remembrance day, WTF!"
"As a proud Englishman living abroad im shocked at some of the reports coming out of the UK. 2000 Police in and around Central London to stop any trouble, 24-hour guard on the Cenotaph to protect it from attack. Veterans told DON'T wear medals, military berets etc on the way to Remembrance services across the UK. Poppy sellers attacked; War memorials vandalized. This stuff is unbelievable, WTF is going on! UK,Dogs etc"

"Deliberately pick a fight with the police and you get arrested. Deliberately display pro-Hamas regalia and promote them vocally in public and you get ""investigated"". Why is that, do you think?"

"It remains to be seen whether the majority would see a Tory party behaving like Braverman as Home Secretary as fit to run the country. Your assumption is not good enough to rule on that, Muppet."
"Re: Remembrance day, WTF!"
"This country is being run and policed by complete cowards. And to think this lot are seen as far right by the usual cretins, beyond fucking parody."

"So Braverman was simply making an observation on what has happened in the past, not an order - implied or otherwise - on what the police should actually do from now on. I suspect enough people to make a difference come the next general election have also made a similar observation."

"Mike Oxsaw 12:01 Mon Nov 13 Wrong. Only one protest last weeked came specifically for a fight. Trying to violently gatecrash the cenotaph wreath laying on Saturday was thoughtless, embarrassing and an affront to those who wanted to rememder the fallen. Deliberately pick a fight with the police and you get arrested."

"“What she said was the Met come down hard on the far right, as they should do, but not the Pro Palestinians.” You seem to be an angry, frustrated little fellow. How about you start on that by improving how you use the only language you have?"

"She made the mistake of being a conservative in this left of centre Conservative government. They need to take an absolute pounding next time and be reformed as an actual conservative party. The majority of this country agree with Braverman, and they are not represented by the two main parties."

"Braverman 100% called it correct in that newspaper article. You'd have to be absolutely desperate to try and spin it any other way given the now historical, reported & recorded outcome of policing London over Remembrance Weekend."

"No, it is definitely not the Home Secretary's job to say who the police ought to be arresting when we have a inflamed political situation of this kind. On the other hand, hard work to make sure the police have the powers and the funding to act to enforce the law according to the law, and do so effectively, is exactly the Home Secretary's job remit. Whether that expresses what you happen to be thinking and where you happen to live or what religion or ethnic group you are is neither here nor there."

Maybe having 27 extra foreign countries to now deal with was Cameron's carrot.

"Having observed the march close up the one thing that united them was hatred of Jews. Anyway ""Suella was right ... It is obvious to me – & many fellow officers – there is a clear bias. This 'playing favourites' is a symptom of years of wokery & political correctness that have completely transformed the culture of the Met – and which mean the force cannot cope any longer with disputes that involve inter-ethnic conflict. Put simply, senior officers are terrified of being accused of racism if they fully enforce the law against pro-Palestinian protestors"" dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…"

"""that the job of Home Secretary does not involve talking bollocks about the police effectively victimising the far right"" That isn't what she did you complete cretin. What she said was the Met come down hard on the far right, as they should do, but not the Pro Palestinians. The fact the far right were all arrested yesterday, whilst the pro mob are ""being investigated"" tells you she was right."

"I wonder when it will dawn on some people that the job of Home Secretary does not involve talking bollocks about the police effectively victimising the far right, however much that might express what the tabloid-reading reactionaries might be “thinking”?"

"Re: Remembrance day, WTF!"
"Let’s be honest – there was nothing remotely controversial about what Braverman said. I’m sure the police do treat the EDL (for example) differently to how they treat a bunch of purple haired imbeciles. They’re more likely to be a threat. No different to how they would police 15 youths in hoodies versus 15 blokes going to watch the rugby – one group is far more likely to be carrying a knife than the other. We seem to have lost the ability to be honest about these things. The most notable thing about it was that the Met said that the marches could go ahead because they had ample resources to police it. Considering they’ve spent the past few years whining about cuts, and blaming that on the fact they don’t do their job properly, it was interesting to note that they felt able to cover it."
