"Better chance of a clean sheet with Fabianski in goal in my opinion. Commands the area much better. Be interested if he rotates anyone for this game. Fornals and Benrahma might come in, Not sure about changes in defense. Kehrer seems a forgotten man but he has pace and isn't the worst passer. If anyone is rested it will be Coufal or Zouma and his dodgy knees. I can see a lot of teams having to cope with a lot of games in a short time and if you want to avoid fatigue and injuries there has to be some rotation."

"Angry Miike strikes again! Just waiting for his cousin’s in crime to appear now that the Tottenham game is a distant memory. Hey Mikey Boy, were you happy we beat Tottenham the other night? It’s just I can’t remember you saying anything about it. Strange that."

"Realistically Silva won't be our manager anytime soon, but I like him as well. Seems like a good coach, racked up quite a bit of experience now and like his passion, he looks ready to kill himself if his team loses, I like that. He looks smart too. Looking forward to this now after Thursday, and can see an open game with a few goals."

Will just put my two cents in before this thread returns to the usual toxicity from the inevitable returning “supporters” that needed a period of mourning after the Tottenham win. We usually do well at Fulham but they are playing well so it will be a tough game as 99 percent of Premiership games usually are. I will predict a 1-1 or 2-2 draw. I really like Marco Silva btw. I think he would do a good option for us if we are looking for a new manager for next season. COYI!

"Willtell - not anti anything but just so happens I think these 2 players are our weakest in terms of technique and in Soucek's case, in a lot of games, his severe lack of pace. Problem with forums like this, is the tendency for binary or polarised thinking. They are good squad members and as you say Coufal is not a ""bad"" player and neither is Soucek per se and they're attitude and commitment is arguably an intangible value but relative to the demands of the Premiership they stand out along with Antonio IMO ( the expression of opinion that means it could be wrong but hopefully backed up with a rationale :-) ) as being the positions we need to strengthen in most, If we want to play through teams ( need to play different ways depending on who we face ) then I would contend both Soucek and Coufal should not be starters. Thats all :-)"

are you anti-Czech Sir Alf? Only Coufal is really not bad at RB and certainly the best we currently have. Emerson is better gravy on the other side but until we sign a replacement he's fine. Soucek is also our 2nd top scorer so ain't going anywhere soon. And our investor Kretinsky is Czech too so they clearly keep him sweet...

"twoleftfeet 12:33 Sat Dec 9 I can't help what you think of me and the Tena ladies. :-) I actually hope you're staunch support of Moyes proves us all wrong long term but need to see results continuing to compensate for what is a very hard watch a lot of the time. My opinion ( as that what this site is used to express ) is that he has the opportunity to get us playing better football due to Steidten now identifying and bringing in the players and what looks like an exceptional group of U21s. Tbh, the Spuds manager is a zealot for the tippy tappy, passing style. That is not always the answer unless you have City level financing. The hope is that we can be analogous to a boxer who switches to ""south paw"" and we learn to play different ways. There has been glimpses but rare. Perhaps Moyes can prove us wrong if he gets a few better options at times in the first team ( Soucek, Coufal position at RWB and a forward the priorities ) but I still have my doubts he either has the know how ( development and coaching) or ""belief"" to play a different way at times. We shall see."

"Steve Sutton, having wrongly predicted us to lose to Spurs, has stuck to his guns and predicted a 2-1 home win for Fulham. For me this game will be a tougher encounter than Thursday’s. The most unlikely thing is for us to keep a clean sheet especially as Fulham have found out how to score in their last three games banging in eleven. Score draw for me. And a stat, our best mid season points total stands at 32 points after 19 games. Will Moyes break or equal this record of his?"

"Not sure i ever gave a monkeys about sentimental reasons, views of London and the Thames, can't even remember anything like that? It was a convenient ground to get too on a Saturday afternoon to watch a game of football. and as a neutral it was a great place to watch football, inbreds aside!!!! But each to their own."

"Oh yea, I'm aware that some see it as a sentimental throwback type of place, that should be cherished etc. How many times tomorrow will the commentator mention ''the cottage'' and ''on the banks of the River Thames'' and ''we have a great view of the London skyline from our commentary position'' Crap ground for me, full of inbred supporters and Hugh Grant, but glad you enjoyed going over there."

"""Poxy little ground"" Really? I actually quite like it for that reason, one of my favorites in fact! you really are close to the action. Been to a few games over the years when we weren't playing as neutral before they were top division side, the Cottage often half full, but used to be cheap to get in and saw a few cracking games. Heard it's one of the most expensive now, or that's just maybe season tickets, how things change!"

"Reasonably confident we will get at least a point, Fulham are decent but nothing special at all, plus we are on a roll and have a good record there. Poxy little ground and club, we won't feel intimidated there that's for sure. Will the Moyes out banner be making an appearance again?"
