"Re: So, we're not going to even talk about the OUTRAGIOUS covid inquiry Then?"
Ken I need to understand what those stats are actually saying. According to govt stats https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/articles/deathsregisteredduetocovid19/2020 Around 70k died in the Uk of Covid in 2020. The stats seem to imply that if we didn’t lock down then that figure in the UK would be 74k instead? That sounds like total bollocks. But it’s all about what those stats actually mean. Does it account for geography (travel hubs like London and Milan vs Krakow or Milwaukee? ) and regions having totally different rates of the disease? Maybe the way lockdowns are organised could have been better. But I just don’t know what any country could have done that wasn’t an absolute gamble? Given the information at hand. If there is a next time I’m sure they will use these studies and work out what to do. In 2020 they didn’t have hindsight.

"threesixty 12:05 Thu Nov 23 According to a study by American and European researchers, lockdowns had negligible public health effects when measured by mortality. “The average lockdown in Europe and the United States in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by 3.2 per cent. This translates into approximately 6,000 avoided deaths in Europe and 4,000 in the United States.” When you consider the deaths from untreated Illnesses either from delays in surgery or diagnosis, how successful were these lockdowns overall?"

"So, should everyone who took the untested and unproven ""vaccine"" be given a medal and some sort of award/upgrade in social status/recognition for ""Taking one for the team"", getting lucky and ensuring that the entire human race survived?"

"Lee I don’t know about “faith” in a medicine that that has not been around for a few decades .. no. I wouldn’t say that. But given the shit we were in. The fact that I had Covid before and I could barely walk up the stairs without thinking I was going to die… I figured it’s on probability, a gamble the majority of us had to take to get through it. I also thought if I get this again I don’t think I’ll make it. People who said it was like the flu.. lol. Me personally I’ve never been as fucked as when I had Covid. That was madness. YMMV. Anyway, it’s better than sending your kids to war isn’t it? Funny how people advocate for all sorts of risky shit but not this? Humans make all sorts of gambles to move forward with civilisation. Some work, some don’t. But we have to grow some balls. Anyway, we didn’t need 100% of people to take it to get the effect we needed. Many of my friends didn’t get a jab and I don’t have a go at them. It’s a personal choice, it’s your body at the end of the day. But as society we do have to collectively come together to get through bad shit. It’s just what we do."

"One of the points not raised here is that if (IF) the government has (amassed) so much data on the individuals it has authority over, why that was not used early doors to identify all those at risk from Covid and apply, against them, the appropriate safeguards and restrictions? Either they don't actually hold enough of such data, or, more probable, they (still) haven't got a scooby how to use it effectively."

Ken “ There wasn’t people dropping like flies though. Society would have gone on and only those in fear would have stayed at home. No-one I know that ignored the restrictions suffered any consequences. They went to work as normal. They had pub lock ins.” You do realise that the majority protect the minority here right? If 90% of people stay indoors the 10% get the benefit of the inability of the virus being able to spread as effectively. That’s what makes me laugh about all the anti vaxxers and lock down deniers. You fail to understand the basic logic to the whole thing. Even if the vaccine was bad for 5% or it was only effective for 70% of people. because a majority did take it it created a network effect that allowed us to break out of lockdown modes more safely. Some people just can’t do logic at all! As for people weren’t dropping down like flies. They weren’t because WE LOCKED DOWN. Especially when the early variant was around which was stronger. You only have to look at Italy and China initially to see how much panic and deaths were happening early doors. Yes further down the line incorrect decisions were made but this whole “scamdemic” nonsense is just nonsense. Promoted by people who can’t do basic logic or maths. In my opinion obviously…

"“A new study by psychologists at Bangor University has found that the people who stuck most closely to lockdown rules have suffered the worst impact to their mental health. “Communal” personality types – those with a strong sense of duty towards others – were most anxious about getting or spreading the infection, and therefore adhered rigidly to the protocols. This in itself must have had an impact on their mental health: the more scrupulous the self-isolation, the worse the loneliness. The most law-abiding people have also found it hardest to transition back to “normality”. They miss being told what to do. Lacking regular announcements on how to live now, many are still following infection prevention measures. They are locked into a state of perpetual emergency. “"

Nothing sadder than a brainwashed peasant who has confused talking a load of bollocks they’ve picked up from Kremlin Disinformation Central with being edgy and critical. In the end it always has them bowing and scraping before the public school lout who is fucking them over. You’d think they’d have worked it out by now.

"""There were literally thousands of posts on here who couldn’t seem to comprehend how vaccines work,"" And thousands more clearly demonstration that they know little or nothing about (drug) testing processes that have to be followed before any product is approved for public consumption. With these ""vaccines"", they already had a ""preferred outcome"" set in stone, so the testing processes & procedures were 'Modified' (Manipulated) during the trials in order to achieve the desired (paid for) outcome. Most of those posts clearly showed that the poster had a belief along the lines of if it takes one woman nine months to produce a baby, nine woman can do the same in one month. ""Long term"" for them was a standard length commercial break during a commercially networked soap opera. ""The Science"", innit?"

AstraZeneca has denied its Covid-19 vaccine is “defective” in response to a multi-million pound legal case over claims the jab caused blood clots. The drugs firm is being sued in the High Court by a father-of-two who suffered a significant permanent brain injury after receiving the vaccine in April 2021.

"Kaiser Zoso 9:04 Wed Nov 22 Re: So, we're not going to even talk about the OUTRAGIOUS covid inquiry Then? A) shut up you pathetic old nonce. B) Debate is fine - but you all have multi-year histories of repeating one hysterical conspiracy after another - none of which panned out to be true - so now you’ve settled on it being a big overreaction and none of it being necessary, which was not the case given the severity of the early disease, the inability of the health system to cope, and the lack of knowledge of how the virus would mutate. There were literally thousands of posts on here who couldn’t seem to comprehend how vaccines work, and seized on literally any old shit they could find online to discredit them as a way of justifying their own conspiracies and paranoia."

"zeb I had the brain fog as well. I was doing PMO type work in facility management (particularly hard/tech services) and found it very hard to even work out what was supposed to be delivered, without doing steps 2 to 4 unless I focussed on very small parts of the project at a time and solely concentrated on these. Fortunately a lot of my clients are fucking hopeless. The brain fog took ages to go completely, and I still had annoying headaches for over a year afterwards."

riosleftsock 10:51 Wed Nov 22 Thanks for that. Took me while to be fully on point mentally especially with problem solving at work (I am a software developer) too but not as bad as you. It is a bit crap to say the least.
"Re: So, we're not going to even talk about the outrageous covid inquiry Then?"
Lot of hindsight going on here. The government’s first duty is to protect its citizens. That being the case HMG had little option but to organise a shut down. It was what went on in the time afterwards that we need to learn lessons from.

"""Perhaps they could have just followed the original government pandemic response plan"" Chris Whitty said there was one but it was based upon swine flue, which was more deadly but much less infectious. He then went on to say they should have based it upon the flu pandemics! Its really about infectiousness v deadliness. And obviously chinkyness."
