Their system automatically locates said product and it is packaged and dispatched without any human intervention. Even the last mile delivery is now being automated via the use of drones for smaller items, and gig-economy self-employed delivery drivers for larger items. In fact, for the bigger items, there is no real Amazon involvement at all apart from collecting the money and passing the delivery details onto wherever the item is held in warehouse. Additionally, the days when a robot can wipe someone's arse better than an immigrant on slave-labour wages is only a few years, not a few decades away."
