The facts were pretty clear from the video evidence: George Floyd's neck was trapped under Chauvin's knee for the best part of 9 minutes, represented no immediate threat throughout, and called out many times that he could not breathe. Chauvin was no innocent copper either: various relevant complaints had been made before about his treatment of suspects. The murder was ideal propaganda for the BLM movement, which chose to use it to further its victimhood claims, while ignoring the continuing and much greater issue of black-on-black violence."
