"Hang on a minute, one of the reasons we were always told that he wouldn't come to WHU was that he wanted to stay up north, be near his daughter, blah, blah, bollocks. So the cսnt couldn't come to play for us for ¬£100k per week but he'll happily spend the summer down here training with us for free??? no chance, this is being lined up as a pay as you play contract."

It didn't take Forest long to realise that they fucked up but Moyes in his small minded wisdom offers him a training base to run the rule over him. It's like something from Forgotten Family and I wouldn't be surprised if the Scotch cսnt has a dna link to Lombard.

"No harm in taking a look and assessing his fitness and where he is mentally. If he looks anything like the player he was for us before getting him in on a pay as you play deal and tell him to make himself undroppable. If not, wave him good bye and wish him the best for the future."

"I very much suspect that Sullivan is charging him to use the facilities until Moyes threatens him with a reach-around if he's not brought on board in some form - even on a pay-per-play basis. Is Moyes really that desperate to prove he was a better judge of the player than anyone else at the club/on the planet? Can't see why he'd actually want anything to do with us now that Rice has left, to be honest."

"I wonder whose idea it was to let him train with us? Wouldn't have thought Lombard himself would have had the front to ask the club, my guess is Moyes extended the invitation to do so, so as he could run the rule over him for a possible return? Or even dangled that carrot under his nose. Report i saw said it may only be for the short term if we get this fella from Ajax up to speed assuming we sign him, but we all know how Moyes likes to take his time with such things......."

"Would like to think we will NOT be offering him any kind of deal, but if so why the welcome and the offer to let him use our facilities when he dicked us around so much? Talk about a fucking soft touch, just goes to prove really that it's just a big boys club among all these multi-millionaires. The worry for me would be if he did sign a deal we wouldn't then bother getting that pacy forward type that we desperately need, yea let's save 30 mil on Harvey Barnes and just bring Jesse back instead."

Probably sign this clown and then Pat themselves on the back for saving a load of money vs signing him 12 months ago.

"It wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world. Watching us as a unit going forward on Saturday, against one of the worst teams we'll play this season, we are so fucking desperate for pace it's untrue. The 2 players we've signed so far, neither are blessed with any sort of pace, in fact, it'd be a weakness in both their games. And our next signing is Maguire. That's why I'm looking at this waste of space, and thinking we might have to swallow our pride. Shocking state of affairs."

"I'll tell you how desperate I think our situation is, I'm actually wondering whether it would be a good idea to give him a year, purely because he at least has a bit of pace. And I was one of very few that was fucking desperate that we didn't sign him last summer. What an absolute state we're in."
