"They are hugely expensive if you understand the cost of making kits. Also if you compare them to a similar top they sell that doesn't have the club badges on them it's obvious you're being ripped off. however, as long as people buy them they will continue to change them and charge a fortune for them."

It's a similar blue to the one we wore in the 97/8 season on the 3rd shirt . I still have nightmares over berkovics miss in the cup quarter final at the library wearing it .

"letsalldotheBarthez 11:21 Mon Jul 10 I understand its the Betway sponsorship. But you can't call it an unsponsored shirt if it still has a sponsor on it, this being JD Sports on the arm."

"Football gear isn’t expensive, £75 for something you will wear for a year isn’t the end of the world. Gooner mate had two boys and their mum was moaning about the price of kit. How often do they wear them? Every day except wash day. Pretty good value then."

Sven We've not had the ae shade of claret or blue for over 30 years. They MUST be running out of variants now surely I assume its so you can't mix and match

"What were they last season? £60? Must have been a worldwide shortage of polyester & pressure on the recruitment market of 8yo's to put them together Like the overall design .. claret body ,blue arms but the BUBBLES are shit and whats wrong with a proper v-neck? Also someone needs to look at a 1975 FA Cup shirt and get the shades of CLARET & BLUE right. Plus go back to white shorts"

"Didnt spot that price for shorts wow. What gets me is that back in the day, home shirt was changed every 2 seasons and away always moved to 3rd kit the following. That was up til Man United went a bit crazy in 99 and released kits just for cups then it seemed to be changes for all each season. I can understand that if it was mostly to sponsors changing, but its pure greed by clubs / manufacturors now PL should really do something to regulate it - like when they stepped in about away ticket prices etc. At least our home kit changes a bit each year, unlike Spurs paying more for minor variation of same plain white shirt - ha ha. Think ours is shocking, take a look at Chelsea's home this year. https://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AA1dET4B.img?w=1920&h=1080&q=60&m=2&f=jpg Basic sunday league teamwear with a shiny badge."

"The leaks with the claret and blue collar looked much better. As with everything else the last few weeks very underwhelming. Bit basic and boring, the bubbles are strange Can't wait till we fuck Umbro off every year seems like they put fuck all effort into them Isn't £40 for the shorts even more outrageous than £75 for the shirt!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FgMIKOUGnY this release from WHUFC puzzles me as the narrative is that we don't really know the origin of the song then he ventures 3 or 4 possibles without mentioning the origin that I was brought up on and recall reading about in the programme as a young boy. MY origin story was about the chairmans son who had curly hair and someone commented that it was like a sea of bubbles and the song got linked - does that ring a bell for anyone?

"Knowing the standard crap that comes outa west ham we've prob scrapped white shorts for good - they have done in womens team to avoid embarrassment for our ladies if they get their period... with all the woke gender identification BS, I wonder if our club think they are being progressive that men can menstruate too ;o)"

"If you've got a mate going for a trip to SE Asia before the season starts, ask him to bring you back 20 identical moody copies, which will be all over the shopping malls once it's officially announced. Why 20? Being moody it probably won't survive it's first wash, so simply bin it and wear another. Or just let the kids starve for a month to free up the cash the club are demanding for the shirt."

"greenie1 11:13 Mon Jul 10 Its only because the unsponsored one is for the U18's - meeting the requirement that no gambling sponsors appear on kit. If we had a dif sponsor, say Dr Martens - we wouldn't even see an option for unsponsored. Unsponsored shirts only been sold by club since being sponsored by Betway... apart from when XL airways went bust lol"
