Re: Essex cricket
"The BBC has division one of the county championship as only 14 matches, where are you getting 18 matches from?"
Re: Essex cricket
"I don't get those stats, they say Cook has no centuries and then give him a high score of 128"
Re: Essex cricket
"Anyway the stats I'm looking at has him at no tons and one 50 what stats you looking at? County Championship Division One 2023, FIRSTCLASS, Most Runs https://www.cricketworld.com/cricket/series/county-championship-division-one-2023/stats/batting-most-runs/127576"
Re: Essex cricket
"He should retire, he's not getting 50s he's not even getting out of 20s it's time to say a massive thanks and goodbye Sir Alistair Cook."

Re: Essex cricket
Stories a couple of weeks back that Sir A Cook was going to retire at the end of the season but not confirmed. Nice that Alec Stewart is having some success in his later career after playing in 8 Ashes series for 8 defeats.

Re: Essex cricket
"Not sure if Rossington's contract is up at the end of the season or if signing Cox has been done to replace the departing Lawrence. Good signing but a little disappointed Pepper or Buttleman haven't been given the chance as the County Championship keeper. As well as Pepper there is Feroze Khushi trying establish himself in the top order when the opportunity arises and a group of good young batsmen on the fring of the first XI including Buttleman, Josh Rymell and Robin Das."

"5 wins on the bounce, really great stuff. Shame that Chelsea look like winning as well - that draw against them when the rain saved them might make the difference."

Re: Essex cricket
Chef gone already Hampshire had a lot to say for themselves about the pitch they lost on at Chelmsford last year. Dare say they'll be a little quieter this time. Cunts.

Re: Essex cricket
Hampshire seen off. Last four wickets gone in 4.1 overs - all out 131 10 for by Jamie Porter. Essex require 83 to win - what could possibly go wrong ? Retires behind the couch.
