If he started with Danny Ings he would link play and hold the ball. Antonio could not trap a bag of cement. Anyway we’re shit Moyes out!

"Someone suggested on here that Al we need to do is sign a20 goal a season striker. Well they are hard to find, if you can afford them. as there were only about 3 in the premier league last season. Even Arsenal never had one despite a great season last time out. They did however have a couple of players on 15 goals a piece."

"Once again, a hard watch. Reading through the posts: Aguerds fault, another mistake; Alvarez fault; bullied by Van Dyke; Soucek fault, nice guy not up to it; Antonio's fault, missed another sitter. We can pick holes in every single player including Paqueta who runs out of steam at 75 minutes. All players have faults and with fine margins self belief is a bigger element of success. We set up and go out to defend for 90+ minutes under a manager that never wins away at the big teams. So the team are constantly under pressure, errors are magnified in significance and self belief, from manager down, non existent. Moyes is simply to limited to take us further and until that changes we will constantly argue about the symptoms rather than the cause."

"I'm a fan of aguerd but this was a mistake too far for me. I'd start the Greek. Bowen really should have buried his header at 1v1. Soucek actually had a decent game and gave it away far less than over the last 18 months. I'd rather have someone better on the ball starting like kudus but that's just not moyesball. What I think is unacceptable is that on days where Antonio is utter garbage like today, moyes has no plan b. When he goes off we get worse. Kudus isn't a CF. Ings isn't a lone striker. We don't even have a like for like replacement. That's all on moyes."

"With the exception of Man Utd and Chelsea - everyone else in the Too 6 are miles clear from us. That’s just a simple fact. However, for 60 mins today we were arguably the better side and created 4 clear cut free headers in the box. The 2nd goal was horrendous, standing off, no commanding defending and Areola hesitating coming off his line again. Mistakes keep getting made. BUT Aguerd and Paqueta allow us to play the positive way we did for the first 60 mins. Punish them for the mistakes and you lose the front foot football."

"Christ its frustrating playing this lot to say the least.I was at Wembley in the league cup final when we were subject to a dodgy offside decision. Then Daglish tuned it on in the replay at Villa Park in the replay. Then in Cardiff for the FA CUP Final despite outplaying them Gerrard turns the game on its head and we lose on penalties. In more recent times its been Mo Salah who always seems to topple us. I suppose you have to accept the have had some fantastic well managed sides over the years, despite their shitty always the victim supporters."

"he continues sacrificing a place in the team to accommodate soucek. this will continue to unbalance the team with paqueta out of position wide left, emerson having to do two jobs and kudus unable to start a league game. his obsession with this clearly nice bloke, but very limited footballer is frustrating but he did the same at everton with the afro donkey"

When Moyes plays the sky 6 away from home . His belief goes to pieces . He spends far too much time worried about what they can do . Instead of instilling belief into his own side . I hope to god I'm wrong . but I think there's more chance of Elvis riding shergar across tower bridge with an arrest warrant for jack the ripper. Than us winning a league game away to any of them under him

"Paqueta was the best player on the pitch from either side. There was no “meh” about him at all. The Scousers clapped him off. Sadly, he’s the next cab off the ramp for us."

Twice in a row we’ve been done by a simple chip into the box. We tend to drop back too deeply and Man City and Liverpool have both sussed this out.

Moyes' subs are just atrocious. Fornals for fucks sake. Can the big greek play on the left side of defence? Fucking hope so. Aguerd needs dropping.

Norflundon 6:56 Sun Sep 24 Re: ‚ö? Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview Thought the Ings sub was unnecessary when you could have stick mubama on and give him some valuable minutes. Mubama wasnt on the bench.

Have to be honest we ain't breaking into the top 6 judging from that performance. We might be able to ride our luck vs the likes of Chelski but Liverpool looked better on the whole. Up to the team to prove me wrong but a lot of misplaced passes & missed chances which has been symptomatic. Definitely need a proper striker to punish teams. Frustrating. Aguerd is concerning. Mavropanos could well overtake him. Paqueta is inspirational but he mixes brilliance with meh moments all too often. Sheffield Utd look absolutely useless so maybe we can trounce them well & proper & forget this game.

"I think we all hoped and prayed for something out of the last 2 games but realistically it was always going to be extremely tough. Did well to get 6 from Chelsea and Brighton and we're still in a fairly decent position with a winnable game against Sheff Utd coming up. Let's see how we fair against a so-called lesser team and whether we take the game to them at home? Overall, I actually think we'll get stronger as the season goes on. - Alvarez looks tidy but also looks like he's got allot more to give. - Kudus hasn't really had much of a chance and when he did start, albeit against a lower team, he scored 2 goals, but there is allot of hope that he can do well so fingers crossed. - JWP had his least effective game in terms of rewards, his first game without a goal or assist yet? But his quality is there for everyone to see. - We've got 4 CBs now with Mavropanos and maybe we need to find out best partnership (if that is not Aguerd and Zouma). For me, our weakness will be strikers/forward. Antonio has had a reasonable start and often looks isolated, but give him his due he has shown some glimpses of his best days, but we cannot rely on him alone. It will be interesting to see how he uses Bowen, Antonio and Kudus as Ings just cannot play that lone striker role and Mubama is getting nowhere near the first team. Cornet hasn't done much to give us faith since his arrival either."

"If only Antonio was as good as the player that lives in his deluded head, depressing to have had to rely on him for as long as we have, how the fuck he’s our best prem goal scorer is a sad indictment of the way the squad is run."

I cannot see us beating any of the sky 6 sway from home under Moyes . As well as he's done in Europe and he has .he's got a mental block against them . Putting soucek in the side and shunting our best player pacqueta out to the left to accommodate him is rank poor management. Saying that until the two bob North London pleasing dwarf sells up we better get used to it .

H.S. You're talking bollox. When Bilic won up there Liverpool were bang average and it was probably our best chance to beat them at Anfield in my lifetime.

This lot were there for the taking. Too much ball recycling instead of getting into their faces. Bilic did it and we won up there. They have a pair of very ordinary full backs that could have been taken to the cleaners. As usual Moyes shows them too much respect and he got the expected result.

Yarmouth 6:29 Sun Sep 24 Agree with all of that. We are a midtable side at best under negative Moyes unless the German brings a prolific striker in January we will just collect the Premier league TV money each year which is what the owners wants. We need 2 top wing backs and a striker minimum.
