"The probability of us losing against City and Liverpool was so high that I cant get too upset. That said, if you believe you might be getting closer then theres always hope. Onwards and upwards."

"How much better would we be with an elite centre forward ?, though you could say that about a lot of clubs !. Truth be known, Antonio should ALWAYS be the secondary striker from the bench. Ings should be the third striker. We constantly have to make do with what we have, nobody at the club seems to be saying we need better up top, if they did surely we would have got 1 in the summer rather than all of the posturing over a load of players,. Moyes clearly thinks he can manage with Antonio"

"Sorry Ex, but what about the Brighton striker Ferguson? He’s what? 19 I think and doing really well. We’re not going to know what Mubama ISNT until he gets a fair crack like Ant has had."

"Exile, I agree that Ants goals against Chelsea and Brighton were exceptional but that’s the point, it’s the exception not the rule with him, honestly over the seasons when he’s running at the keeper having left the defender for dead how many times have you felt confident of his finishing ability? It’s not a witch hunt just stating the obvious. He has improved a bit over the years but he’s not now at 33 going to turn into what we need."

"All this knee-jerk reaction against Antonio is pretty pathetic. Yes, of course it was a terrible miss yesterday but what about his superb strikes against Chelsea and Brighton? I can tell you without trouble, Mubama wouldn't have got anywhere near scoring goals of that quality. The step-up to the PL for these young players is huge, so I suggest you'll have to wait for the Lincoln game, when it would be a good opportunity to give them a chance at an appropriate level."

"Moyes announces that he's fed up of coming away from Anfield without anything Well maybe mate if you were more proactive with your team selection and substitutes we might be sitting here today celebrating Saturday will tell if he is actually learning from his mistakes We don't need 2 holders v Sheff United FFS , and you are allowed to drop Aguerd and Antonio"

It's Moyes refusal to replace Antonio. That's hurting us . And even worse when he's taken off its Danny ings who invariably replaces him yet another player who's legs have gone . I can see our outstanding young players getting seriously pissed of with it . Mubama Marshall kodua must be scratching their heads in puzzlement with it

"Soucek and Coufal played ok, the problem for the last 2 games have been a targeted central defence of an error prone ball watcher coupled with a glacially slow partner who’s now undroppable. Stick into the mix a striker that’s not a striker ( the missed header was harder to miss than score) who Moyes thinks is the best striker in the world. We can’t afford to carry those penalties in this league. Time for him to show some bollocks, make WP captain, try Stav and Ogbonna together and bench Antonio for Mubama to sink or swim, the kid deserves some time."

"Of course we look a bit better. We have better players in Paqueta, Prowse, Kudus and Alvarez. But still we are cursed with the handbrake mentality of Dino Dave. As long we have him as manager, and have to rely on non footballers like Zouma, Coufal, Souceks, Benrahma, Fornals, Ings, not least Antonio, we will float around and gather a few points here and there."

"How can any Top PL side give extra contracts to Ogbonna, Vresswell and Antonio is beyond me, Coupled with the fact Moyes is just not up to it. To send on Fornals and play Kudus up top will I just shake my head in wonder. I am surprised it has taken what six games for the wheels to fall off. We lack quality up front and full backs but hang on every Prick on here has known that since the turn of the year. Pity Moyes can't see it"

Started well… Didn’t take early chances… 2 defensive errors… Lineups and strategy same each game…predictable… Top 10 team…8th if lucky… As said many times we need a good goal scoring striker…Antonio and Ings are not… What fool paid 150million for Ings… Aguerd looking Ike serious error per game… Big squad…but low on talent after first team… Hope new Kraut transfer guy is better…

Ivan Toney would be ideal but it appears Spurs and Chelsea are interested too.

"Rio. That's your Moyes hat on there. I'd pay £60m for him. He could play under a better manager and in several positions Get rid off Ings will be a major benefit. Moyes has yet again created this problem of no alternative to Antonio, you couldn't make it up. He persists with Ings until it causes a problem. Mubama shone in pre season and continues to score for the u21's but still given no time. It's clear that there were opportunities to introduce him for 10 or 15,firstly Ings has done didly squat and Mubama is adaptable, quick plus he plays in a similar position to Antonio.. Moyes has taken us as far as he can despite having the riches of several very good players."

"Didnt see the game but I can imagine how it went. One thing I will say is that there is constant pressure or our CB's and goal keeper if we continue to play counter attack and concede the vast majority of the possession to other teams. We dont have world class defenders. They are ok, but they are not world class and neither can we attract or afford world class defenders. So I think mistakes, whether basic or whatever have to be priced in because normally no defender is meant to continously spend every game backs to the wall defending like their lives depend on it. Especially not modern defenders who are meant to play out and retain possession. So I'm not sure if any of this dents Aguered's value or means we should drop him. Moyes needs to revise tactics really. Or get in a Dawson type defender who does the basics more but doesn't give you that ability to play out, Horses for courses..."

"We looked better against City and Liverpool this year than the last few years, for a while we actually took the game to both. Ivan Toney is available, Brentford want rid and have said they will accept 60m. They won't get 60 but probably want somewhere near 50m. I'd offer 35 plus antonio. Toney is the nearest (apart from Broja) who can play this system as a lone striker but has more to his game than Antonio and is better in the air."

The Antonio header in the first half every bit as bad a mistake as Aguerd’s.

Too many missed chances so Antonio out Kudus in. Too many mistakes so Aguer out Mavrapanos in. Plus Moyse to start making substitutes earlier

"Myopic analysis yet again on all who blame Moyes every time we lose a fuck8 g game. Man City and Liverpool are two of the best teams in Europe and, yep, we lost to both. Don’t judge Moyes on games like this."
