"Think Moyes now sees Soucek as important for the crosses that Ward-Prowse will be putting in, let’s be honest he’s not their for the ability in his feet."

Yes imagine what we would be if it was ?Ålvarez in Soucek‚Äôs position and he had the option of passing it to Kudus ahead of him. Point is we can do so much better these days.

"Our goal on Sunday came from someone , Emerson or Paqueta controlling an appalling 10 yd pass from Soucek and finding Bowen with his initial knock down . An another example of Souceks appalling lack of technique. Nice guy and all that , works hard , but that’s the minimum expected from each player ."

"Sorry but Soucek has a serious liability in defensively; he cannot either hold the ball up, run with it or pass forward so he inevitably puts the whole back line under pressure. This is not going to change just because we’ll be playing a relegation bound side. He has a role to play as a late sub with a goal threat from set-pieces and that, imho, is it."

"I haven't heard it, just seen a summary of Moyes's post match interview in which he praised Soucek and said how important he is to us. I'm not digging Soucek out, I like the bloke and i think that a lot of what he does it unheralded. He is fantastic defensively but is obviously more limited linking defence to attack though he is obviously a threat with his bonce. Moyes however is not going to drop him anytime soon. I can see why he plays him alongside Alvarez (who has to be No. 1 DM!) against City, Liverpool and the like but if they both play against Sheff Utd then something is seriously wrong. I believe that Kudus was bought as a Paqueta replacement... the wheels were put in motion to get him when it looked like Lucas was off and he will either be sold asap or he will be banned for a longish period. I don't reckon that Kudus will get much game time other than off the bench and in EL and cup games until Paqueta goes for whatever reason. You could argue that it's good planning by the club to have very decent cover in place but there is a risk that Kudus will get pissed off with the situation if it carries on for too long."

"Moyes is a manager that will usually avoid relegation issues ( not always as he had us flirting with it last season and a couple of Everton seasons iirc?). Lower risk that a lot of managers in other words. But he is by definition in “no risk, no rewards “‘category as a result usually too. In over a 1000 games, more than 2 decades he’s picked up one trophy in a 3rd tier European competition where we were among 5 or 6 of the stronger teams by virtue of Premiership cash. We are getting close to a squad that can challenge in the top hat consistently and top 6 at a stretch imo. Still a few holes and lack of quality in squad depth. But also because of Moyes low risk, “minimal change”’philosophy he picks the familiar even consistently out of position or pushes players out of position to accommodate others. The brutal or harsh truth imo is that Soucek and Coufal, and Antonio and Ings do not possess the technical quality to be regular starters but only Ings is a bench player. In his case he should be at another club as he doesn’t have pace or strength and is on the wane. Aguerd I’m not sure is up to the physicality of the Prem to be first choice but he may get there . Zouma is physically strong but technically I’m not sure he should be a first choice every league game if we want to challenge the top 6-8 regularly Fornals is a central midfielder but at 27 not a first 11 man in our team now. So a fair few positions to upgrade. Of saying these guys don’t play a part but not starting 11 in the league every week Imo Then a manager who sees pace and technique as a priority over physicality , aerial ability and blocking. In my time honoured fashion a very very verbose way of saying Moyes needs to be thanked but moved on. We have to pray Steidten gets it right as it’s another “sliding doors” moment that only comes along every 20 years"

"I don't know if many saw it but Moyes was in a jovial mood in the post match presser at the stadium, even made a few wisecracks with some local hacks he recognised from his Everton days. So yes, he had pretty much written this one off and was just happy to get out of there with a credible showing."

Our away record record against the sky 6 . Under Moyes is an absolute disgrace we've picked up 2 away points against them since December 2019 . Against man utd and Tottenham both during lockdown. As well as he's done in Europe that isn't acceptable .

I think there are a lot of better managers out there than Moyes like there are better centre forwards out there than Antonio. We now have the man in place to find a replacement for both and should let him come up with the solutions. Moyes and Sullivan have had enough chances choosing centre forwards and managers.

Moyes is gone unless he wins another trophy or qualifies for the Champions League. We all know it. And he most likely does as well. So while we got a shot in any of that lot I’m backing the team. Regardless of how we play.! I want to win every fucking game. Be it by. Low block. Shithousey. Or a lucky deflection off of Soucek arse. I really don’t care. Some people want entertaining football over everything else. Fine. Nothing wrong with that. I’m past powderpuff football. I just want too win now. And while we have a chance. I’ll back whoever managing the game from the sidelines. But throwing a temper tantrum like a 5 year in a supermarket make them look foolish. Like them over at Clowns & Bullshiter’s.! "RBshorty 6:01 Mon Sep 25 Enzo Skunkpussy? I don't fucking know, what's our budget? Are you saying that because you can't think of a viable alternative that we should stick with Moyes? What sort of fucking idiot logic is that?"

"I'm sure Tim Steidten has got a few names in his little black book. We are 2-3 players away from having a fantastic side. Antonio on his day is a top class centre forward, he is just not consistent enough. A top striker and two decent wing backs is all we need to really push on to the next level... I wouldn't swap out too many of the others. Three at the back with offensive wing backs... Alvarez holding and a midfield from Bowen, JWP, Paqueta, Kudus, Benrahma etc...with a more attack minded manager would be ideal IMO."

"Oh so if you think Moyes is a hopeless fucking wreck of a manager who is shit scared of the big six teams and doesn't know how to use a fucking sub to change a game that we were fucking losing - PAblo fucking Fornals, what a great idea, out of position too - YEP - you now how to recruit his fucking successor? Is that right? On what fucking planet does any cսnt really think we'll struggle to get better than this fucking idiot we have? Show me any game in the league where we've been struggling and a Moyes tactical masterstroke has got us back in the game - GO ON RB SHORTY YOU cսnt. How the fuck do you think tin pot clubs like fucking Brentford and Brighton manage to get decent managers? I reckon we'd just do that yeah dickhead? What a fucking lunch."

"We have just got beaten by the best team in world football. And arguably the 2nd best team in the league. Who’s ground we won at once in the past 60 years.! Now I understand a lot want Moyes gone, regardless. But can someone offer up an alternative too him. Who will come to us (That’s Alonso out the race.) And would have got a result in the past 2 games.?"

"I never gave us much hope against this lot and City, problem is they just keep coming at you and in over 100+ minutes you just ain't gonna keep them out, they are too good. That said, had Bowen scored when it was harder to miss who knows. Same old shite from Moyes with the new players, they are never going to be ready just with fleeting subs appearances, that's not realistic and not fair on the player when trying to impress. Why he brought on the plodder Fornals is anyone's guess, it looked like someone from the crowd had come on. We will win on Saturday, will be interesting against Toon and Villa."

LAF wrote... Re: ‚ö? Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview Myopic analysis yet again on all who blame Moyes every time we lose a fuck8 g game. Bollocks LAF. Almost no-one is moaning about losing the game. What people are moaning about is: - Still playing with a CF that plays well about 25% of matches and in other games is dogshit - The fact there is no plan B when that player comes off (Kudus as CF?) - The fact that he continues to play certain players week after week after week when they offer nothing Those issues are all within his power to address. If he were to address those AND we still lost there would be very little criticism
