"Twoleftplates, I would love for you to attend a game like yesterdays. One thing watching it on telly, which was probably frustrating enough, but over there, fucking hell it was hard work. Shit atmosphere, nowhere near a sell out like reported, fucking boring game. If we're not allowed to get results against the big boys, and we don't play well against shit teams like them, what the fuck is the point weighing out to go over there? You wouldn't know, but it's an expensive day out, and more performances like that won't see crowds rise. Half the people I know who go didn't bother yesterday, knowing what the game would be like."

"Twodeadbrain. What can't you see ? We were all happy with 2-0 at half time but why allow S Utd to come on to us. We were lucky. Or Moyes was. If you want to rest your players take them off, early not the 91st minute. Players could have easily taken a knock. Defending Moyes approach to that 2nd half is well undefenseable. Moyes should pay half the entrance fee back. Not one shot on target"

"twodeadbraincells, what we currently have is the most negative manager in the history of the game. I couldn't give a shit what banks is covering as most of those managers didn't have a pot to piss in. whereas this cսnt has been given half a billion pounds of talent since he returned to the club. he's currently got one of the best players in africa stuck on the bench because he refuses to drop his favourite pet"

I have known more positivity after a big defeat than after this cruise in the park win. Some of you need to watch Robert Banks YouTube channel to see how shit we were back in the day and then you might appreciate what we currently have.

wd 40 It will never be 5-0 or 8-0 with this manager. In fact it won’t ever even get to 4-0 with this dourtroglodyte. I don’t think people are unhappy that it wasn’t a win of that magnitude because like I said once it got to 2-0 the entire stadium knew we were going to just sit back. After the brilliant cohesion with that first goal and the quick second we should have just kept going but the players are told what to do and we just sat back and gave them quite a few chances that I think a better team would have converted.

"It would seem or could be interpreted, from Bowen’s after match comments, that we purposely sat back to protect our lead second half ? There are always risks in doing that imo but it may be justified when we see who is selected for what looks like a very tough Europa away leg at Freiburg this Thursday. If he picks mostly his strongest starting 11 including Paqueta, Alvarez, Bowen, Zouma etc… it arguably mitigates what was a very dull, un entertaining, un inspiring 2nd half."

The problem isnt that we cant sign a striker its finding one who can be effective in our system - needle in a haystack so it would seem. Moyes looked like hw was playing

Bowen said as soon as we got the second goal it was about defending our lead and keeping what we've got...

"Bowen looks prone to injury every game,he's always hobbling. He'll be more prone to injury playing upfront you wouldn't play Salah as a 9 like we do. Keep him where he's best and is on a hot run. The u21's are not a big team but as they play fast football, more like Liverpool than our first team, the front 3/4 Marshall,Kouda, Mubama,Earthy all play I more than 1 position. Marshall and Mubama could play in our team. This current set up with no left attacker is ludicrous. Yesterday I felt JWP didn't play that well and could have been subbed. BTW Soucek got a bit lucky as the ball ricocheted of his foot from Sheffield United defender Right place right time though"

Some good performances yesterday but we were still prone to allowing Sheffield a couple of decent chances. I thought the current maligned players Aguerd and Soucek had good games. Soucek continued his goal scoring run with a really good finish for someone who is apparently technically inept. I think it really suits him to play a more advanced role. Alvarez allows that and is actually decent technically and comfortable on the ball. There were still a few disappointing performances in there. Antonio continues to struggle and not take chances but he did lay on the Soucek goal.

"An impressive first half, which I thought might be a springboard for an even better second half. I should have known. Why we had to sit back and let such a poor side have so much of the ball baffles me. I was just so bored sitting watching that second half, and that's not what I pay for. Our first goal was a delight. We can do it, if we're allowed."

Good to see a review of our match on Sky Sports Sunday supplement. Oh hold on it wasn’t mentioned. Just the usual “ big “ clubs and the media’s latest darlings Aston Villa.

"I'm not seeing the fuss about Kudus' performances, he looks like he's going to be a good player but I didn't see him do much when he came on yesterday, this was not helped by Moyes' tactical cluelessness - how can you bring on two attacking players like Kudus and Benny but still make the game so fucking boring to watch via tactical ineptitude? It's the Moyes inverse midas touch in full effect."

Was something clever happening at corners? Agreed held/ blocked his marker and Bowen stole in behind. Are they moving Bowen in because he doesn't seem a threat and don't get marked by a tall.pkayer? but is actually quite capable. I think it qas the lead up to his goal

"Not a great watch but 3 points, a fine cameo for Kudas and we go into Thursday happy and refreshed without the West Ham curse - a serious injury to a key player. Seven games into a season where we are fighting on all fronts, no banana skins, beaten only my city and Liverpool and we're confident, we're European champions with a shiny cup in a cupboard and no team really wants to play us at the moment. I really wish we'd have kept Scamaca or bought a new centre forward but how many points did we have at this point last season? 4 points (off the top of my head)?"

Fluid is not a word I would associate with us. Still it beats H&P retarded idea of playing Soucek centre forward.

"Yep, three small(ish) players up top can be fluid if done correctly etc and it's not even as if you need Bowen notching a shitload of goals, the idea would be the front three all chip in, then we have the threat from set pieces. If Antonio got injured it would force Moyes hand, but then would he play Ings?"
