Good for periods but could have conceded more. Move on. Man City will piss this league so a decent fight but that goal straight after half time fucked us Get the Greek in. Aguerd is brilliant on the ball but his positional play is dogshit Better than last year actually having a go but Moyes has to stop playing so many defensive players. Won’t happen though. Fancy 10th this year and hopefully something in a cup.

Certainly not our worst performance against Man City but the superior quality told in the end. At the end of the day they are the best team in the world so we move on. A lot of discussion about the need for another striker and left back but letting Downes go and not replacing his position could bite us in the arse. We got lucky that Rice never got injured. We aren’t likely to be so lucky with Alvarez. Thursday is a good time to give Kudus & the Greek lad starts and also experiment with that defensive midfielder position. Maybe try Kehrer there?

"?Ålvarez going off fucked us, I mean it doesn‚Äôt help your center half can‚Äôt head it, not having Aguerd in a month of Sundays. Also didn‚Äôt help not having someone to replace Antonio, Bowen up top does not fucking work."

"Sir Alf Agree with most of that and no complaints with the players effort indeed. Our problem is still the same as always under Moyes. No matter who we play, this is Moyesball. If City scored on all their chances it would be like 2-6. I don't complain the players efforts at all, bit I'm sick of the tactics. Just look at Brighton today mauled ManU. Will we ever maul anyone under Moyes? No! But as long as we lose against ManC it's all right I guess..."

"There is no difference in the fouls, just the way the referees choose to punish those committed by the big six teams. Rodrigo has been getting away with body checking since he came to the EPL. When we played them the first game of the season a couple of years ago he did it six or seven times in the first quarter of an hour."

"It very much looked like ?Ålvarez was suffering a touch of cramp having worked double while Soucek had been loitering, waiting to be taken off. If this is indeed the case, words actually fail me because Moyes had waited for what seemed a century to make that double sub (which have been exactly what we needed had Soucek gone off for Kudus and ?Ålvaraz had not). The final result was a self-inflicted disaster."

"Good performance against far and away the best team in the league As mentioned, the Alvarez injury ( got to hope it’s cramp because he is a rock in there ) was what led to their second. Got could “cold” for their equaliser but that Belgian lad is mustard. Only slight criticism was bringing in Benrahma. Against good defenders he’s not up to it and wide left is definitely an area that needs an upgrade to him or another better option in the squad. But no complaints with the players effort and commitment etc and City were undoubtedly the better team but we created more than usual against them and could have scored a couple more. That said they could have scored a few more on another day You just need everything to go ur way to beat them. Liverpool a more interesting test. Not as good as City so hopefully we can get something"

The thing I'm also getting from this is that Kudus and Alvarez have to start. And that may mean sacrificing Soucek for Kudus. I feel like Moyes has to make a tough decision. Kudus will win us games.Even in his little cameo you can see it already.

"Benrahma should not wear the shirt anymore , it is ridiculous that Moyes changed a side that was competing . We have a good team, now we need a Good manager and to see the back of Nolan for good.. They will fire you by Xmas Moyes."

"I really don't like the way City break up opposition counter-attacks with tactical fouls. But it's an obvious tactic that will be used more and more until cynic fouls are punished with cards. And yes, we do it too, but we aren't as good at as they are"

I think Alvarez injury may have been where their second came from as he would normally police the area where Silva delivered the ball. So its just one of those things.. What is proving interesting is how much Areola has kept us in games. I'm not sure Fab has that dynamism. Some of the best saves in the league this month have come from Areola.

"I don’t understand all those fans leaving as the third goal went in. It’s a Saturday afternoon game against the champions, you’ve paid a lot of money and the team has put in a good performance. Why be in such a hurry to leave?"

Capitol we are playing Man City FFS... if we were playing Brighton or Bournemouth ot probably anyone else I'd expect us to go more attacking... Why did he take off Soucek???

"Moyes subs were illogical today. This was a game where we had to keep it tight for 90 mins. As we saw once you give them a bit of space they punish you. Still, it's no surprise against the strongest team on the planet."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread - Preview
"No criticism from me, we just gave the best club team in the world a hard game. Liverpool next and if we play like this we’ll have a good chance of getting something from the game. We’re legit."

"Oh well, nothing I didn't expect. As I said, Areola MotM by a country of a mile. We are far better than laying so fucking deep 90 minutes even against these cunts. And Soucek, what a fucking waste of space."

"if anything I think Antonio should have been left on and kudus be on the left. Not convinced with Benny at the moment,. Shame that Alvarez went off. oh well. Encouraged by what I've seen from us but we aren't quite up there. Their team is immense."
