Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
onsideman 5:06 Fri Feb 2 Fabianski is more likely to play on the left wing over Cornet.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Moyes has a habit of playing players out of position he has done this to many times with good players, Benny , Fornals , and Cornet all were international players Benny and Cornet didn’t even make the squads for the AFCON The sooner Moyes leaves the better this club will be ."

"Echoing the comments on here, an absolute shambles that like a Sunday League club. Plus agree with Moyes treatment of players, baffling."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
It's one in the eye . For the no nothings in the media and certain ex players. That the much denigrated fanbase of west ham United. Have been vindicated yet again about how poorly this club is run . Even that serial bottler tony gale was digging out the supporters before last nights game .
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
This entire window was about shipping out dead wood and getting funds in for the next guy. We got Philips in on a rental. So Moyes can't bitch too loudly about the board. The whole season is about treading water until Moyes contract runs out and Summer 2024 comes around.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Yeh, the Cornet case is very odd. Even when we’ve “sold *tbc” all available left midfielders, he still sits on the bench in favour of the dynamic midfielder of JWP, Soucek, Alvarez, Phillips. I think Moyes is the only manager in world football who would/could shoe horn all four of those into the same starting lineup. As for the transfer cock up, it’s just absolutely typical of the club. We might just as well hope they do go through now because do you really think either will want to play for us now? Fornals to his credit will likely still try given that is his character but Benrahma will be completely done now."

I'd love to know the logic of putting Marshall out on loan days before you're planning on getting rid of all your left wingers.

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
When Andre Arshavin signed for Arsenal they were given half the next day to finalise the transfer because it was SNOWING Cant we have extra time on the basis of the natural event of our club being run by UTTER BUFFOONS who cant find their arse with both hands?
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
I think it was more of case that the deals we were persuing didn't materialise as usual so someone pulled the plug literally.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
What happened is that after the bore fest last night. Someone decided that we should keep Benni and Fornals. Why on earth did we sign a player on loan that hasn't played for 15 months and then put him on from the start? Next level? my arse! I can't believe we are 6th in the Premiership.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Cornet did get a kick. He scored a goal. Since then he hasn't had a kick. Over that same period Soucek hasn't had a kick despite playing 3 games.

"""I wouldn't even say most of those are shit, more likely simply never put in a position to succeed."" Yeah, agreed. I'd go with that."
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
I expect that we will find out that some junior computer operating employee was told by Sullivan not to do the paperwork until approved by Sullivan himself as we can't afford to buy until we sell. Then Sulli went to the match and never answered his phone...

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"I wouldn't even say most of those are shit, more likely simply never put in a position to succeed. This will be controversial but Benny was often just out on an island on the left with no support and only choice having to beat a man with a trick, try a risky pass or just go backwards. Not sure how one is meant to really be successful like that. Fornals was driven to tears by Moyes' treatment of him and again not used correctly. Both were always scapegoated by the manager either through words or actions. Fornals in particular knew no matter how well he might play he was benched for the next game regardless. How do you even get motivated? Cornet has just never had a fucking kick. Not even a chance to prove anything one way or another with this club. Something weird going on there."

"Suggestions that the two 'transfers' could stay go through since the buying clubs did their 'bit' and shouldn't be punished for our circus. Not sure, but stranger things have happened I suppose."
