The Official Cowdenbeath 2024-25 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
Yes, it is the thread you have all been waiting for. The mighty COO go once again in 2024/2025 and I am going to stick my neck out and say that the COO will walk the league this season and win it by a record margin with a record points haul.

To make matters worse, Jack Denham got substituted for a plumber. They stitched us up with the sponsorship when we came offering riches.

Would this be the definition of nadir? Or is that something more biblical?
pop toppers The Jesus and Mary Chain came from East Kilbride. But that's just a bit of trivia and scant consolation on a night like this.

Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2024-25 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
Not only was it a shocking result but our lot came unstuck at the local chippy. Ambushed by their firm, we had no chance, fucking saveloys being pelted at us from all angles. We managed to take shelter in some boozer and they came again, this time with their top boy wielding a haddock in each hand and a fucking BBQ lid as a shield. We held firm for a while and then made it back to Cowden via three buses.
This encounter will go down in history, the day we stood against this firm and held our own.

Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2024-25 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
St Cadoc's 3-0 Cowdenbeath Cowdenbeath crashed out of the CarMatKings South Challenge Cup at the hands of WoS Premier League side St Cadoc's. The home side took the lead in the 7th minute through Jack Breen before doubling their advantage ten minutes from the break with a Daniel McManus goal. A triple half time substitute saw an improved performance in the second 45 from the visitors but it was St Cadoc's who added to the scoresheet. Persistence from Ciaran Diver on the right saw him find Anthony Brady who netted in the 90th minute. The victory sees Martin Fellowes' side go into the fourth round draw. TEAM : Blair, G MacPherson, Newman, Jordan, Hill (Burke), Denham, Whyte (Haston), McLean, Sutherland (Healy), Walker (Docherty) SUB NOT USED : Fusco NEXT UP : We travel to K Park on Wednesday 16th October to take on East Kilbride.

Important point there about the game in hand.
6 points in the next two games will absolutely propel the COO.
could it be done?

Re: The Official Cowdenbeath 2024-25 Season Thread - Scottish Lowland Football League
Gretna 2008 1-1 Cowdenbeath Stuart Douglas grabbed a 90th minute equaliser to grab a worthy point for the home side. Rhys Walker had given Cowdenbeath the lead in the 12th minute and the visitors really should have held a more commanding half time advantage but squandered numerous chances. Gretna 2008 came out for the second half and pegged Dougie Hill's side back for large spells. A late corner was punched out by Ruaridh Lynch but only as far as Douglas who headed in to level the game. The draw sees The Blue Brazil remain in 13th place although they have played a game less than the teams around them. TEAM : Lynch, Jordan, Newman, Denham, Kerr (Burke), McLean, Whyte, McDonald, Sutherland, Docherty (Trialist), Walker (Haston) SUBS NOT USED : Hill, Blair, Fusco NEXT UP : We travel to New Tinto Park on Friday 11th October to take on St Cadocs in the South Challenge Cup.

Just for the sake of pure fantasy, (but who knows!), if there ever was a Hollywood Ryan Reynolds/Wrexham scenario at the COO, who in your wildest dreams would you like to take over?
I’d go for Sissy Spacek.
I reckon that would rustle a few feathers.

Just been sipping half a pint of Frangelico and looking at the league table for the last half hour,
The COO might be lurking in 13th position at the moment, but notice they're joint 9th in goal difference.
You can see the steady improvement.
